Im offering professional piano lessons for classical music, jazz for beginners, improvisation, popular music as well. I also teach composition and music theory. I studied all of the above at the University. The lessons are at my home in Neukolln, where I have an upright piano. Ask me if you have any additional questions ;)

Dear music lover, As an experienced and certified cellist / orchestra musician from Lisboa, Portugal, with several years of teaching, I accompany children, beginners, adults and advanced students into their musical dream and future. I adapt myself individually to the wishes and needs of my students. My focus is not only the technichs and motor skills of the instrumental playing, but always trying to convey musical relationships. The motivation and enthusiasm of my students always come on the first plan. I bring all my experience and knowledge to my lessons. In my teaching I also develop skills such as musical hearing and memory, coordination, concentration, rhythm, basics of music theory and improvisation. The lessons can take place at my place in Neuköln (friedelstr) or at yours (+ 10€ for go and back). Zoom/Skype lessons are also a possibility. Languages: English, Spanish, Portuguese and little bit of German. Ps1: I have a second cello at my place so you don't need to carry your all the way on your back.

The hours are designed according to your musical interests. Since each person has his or her own individual approach to music, it is logical and, in my experience, more effective to work with this in a specific way. So, instead of a rigid curriculum in which you lose interest in a short time, I would like to support you in achieving your personal plans and discovering musical possibilities! Depending on your interests, motivation, previous knowledge and musical taste, the following focal points are coordinated: Technique (tone formation, breathing, approach, intonation, finger technique, etc.), ear training, sense of rhythm, improvisation, note reading, music theory. My teaching consists in giving the students many opportunities to participate. I adapt the teaching method to the individual learning pace and the needs of my students. It is important to me that they can not only make progress, but also enjoy the music. I am a concert pianist currently living in Philadelphia! I am proud to have more than 20 awards from international piano competitions. I’m back in the states in Summer 2024. Here is my story: I started out as a jazz pianist but began dedicating myself to classical music around the age of 14. Two years later I was accepted to the prestigious Central Music School at the Moscow Conservatory. I lived in Russia until the age of 18, and even back then I had major success in international piano competitions. I moved to the US to study with a Van Cliburn Gold medalist under a full scholarship at Park University. I later got my Master’s in piano performance at Yale University. While in the US, I played all over the country and won close to ten international piano competitions. During the past two years I have lived in Germany, where I tried to absorb as much experience as possible about the German piano tradition. I am a U.S. green card holder now. My strategy is to teach you to practice as efficiently as possible. Most people are wasting their time practicing the instrument, then get frustrated and eventually abandon it. I will show you how to make your practicing meaningful. The goal is to make it easier and more enjoyable, not harder. I would describe my approach as hands-on, but I am willing to give students as much freedom as they choose. I often ask my students to send me a video recording of their performance so that we can track progress and discuss our goals and objectives together. I send a detailed lesson summary and practice instructions at the end of every lesson. I try to be polite but straightforward. My job is to encourage you but also be clear about what is getting in your way. I am a perfectionist and encourage my students to push the bar as high as is possible at the moment. Although I have experience as a jazz pianist, my formal training is as a classical pianist and I prefer to offer only classical music lessons, yet the repertoire can range from early baroque to the most recent contemporary. Hey! My name is Richard and I give private lessons to all levels. For guitar, it is important that you can improve yourself in a pleasant environment in a fun way where your interests are central. Do you want to delve deeper into a certain style? Do you want to create your own sound on your guitar using amps, and pedals, ...? I can help you with all that! Knowledge of solfège or music theory is not required, we can always discuss this in class if you wish, but that is certainly not mandatory ;) I have been playing the guitar since I was 9 years old and for several years now I have been playing in professional bands with which I have been able to play on sugar rock, for example. The lessons would take place at my home in Mol or via webcam. If necessary, we can always agree on something else. The theory of everything tends to be really scary and music theory can be too. I am very keen to make music theory easy for everyone. For some people there is only one way to tackle the unmentionable but I believe there are many different approaches and one of them will click with you. It is simply finding out what is best for each person. Once we find the key we can unlock the problems that have puzzled you for ages. Music theory needs to be more than a requirement, it needs to be the way to really appreciate the music you are playing. Certain aspects can also lead to additional practical skills such as improvisation which can be very useful as well as very enjoyable. Pour les débutants, j'utilise les livres de méthode Alfred, mais je suis très ouvert à l'utilisation d'autres livres également. J'aime enseigner et expliquer des choses générales, des habitudes qui peuvent être appliquées à des passages musicaux similaires, que l'on retrouve dans toutes les partitions musicales, de la musique classique à la musique moderne.

1/Faut d'abord écouter bien la musique pour s'imaginer comment jouer la musique au piano. 2/Puis ce qui est nécessaire c'est d'apprendre le solfège pour qu'après vous puissiez être fluide dans vos mouvements, c'est surtout cela le plus important.
