Since 2013 he is the founder and the artistic director of the Carloforte Music Festival since 2013, where he has been collaborating with fine soloists such as Anna Tifu, Paoletta Marrocu, Enkelejda Shkosa, Eric Silberger, Romeo Scaccia, Fabio Furia and Alice Lestang. In 2014, was invited by Lorin Maazel to participate as Associate Conductor at the Castleton Festival. Andrea has already performed in the major european concert halls including Berliner Philharmonie and Palais de Beaux Arts in Bruxelles. He conducted the Berliner Camerata, the Orchestre Regional de Cannes, the Berlin Sinfonietta, SymphoniaASSAI, the Ensemble Orchestral de Valencia, the Symphony Orchestra of the Conservatory of Cagliari, the Ruse Philharmonic, the Moldavian National Orchestra, the Jenaer Philharmonic Orchestra, and the Symphony Orchestra and Choir of the Royal Conservatory of Brussels. Andrea graduated with top marks in piano and orchestral conducting from the Conservatorio P. da Palestrina in Cagliari, the Ecole Normale A. Cortot in Paris, and the Royal Conservatory of Brussels. He had the opportunity to work with internationally renowned conductors such as Lorin Maazel, Ronald Zollman, Jorma Panula, Dominique Rouits, Mikail Jurowsky, Nicolas Pasquet, Jorge Rotter, Giancarlo Andretta, Georg Christoph Sandmann, Wolfgang Doerner and George Pehlivanian. Prize winner in several international piano competitions, he was awarded a five years’ full scholarship offered by the Regione Autonoma della Sardegna, and he is supported by the Fondazione di Sardegna.

The lessons are suitable for everyone between the ages of 6 and 99 and for all skill levels. Unless you're better than me, of course. :) I studied jazz trumpet with Gary Barone in Freiburg at the International Music College (at that time it was still called jazz and rock school) (toured with Frank Zappa and played as a supporting act for Miles Davis) and have now been in Berlin as a freelance trumpeter and music producer for ten years / DJ active. I teach for all levels, from children starting from zero to students who want to prepare certifications at the Conservatories, passing through amateurs or simply curious of any age. I firmly believe in the importance of knowing how to read music and this is exactly what I teach first, obviously adapting the method to the age of my students: knowing how to read music is knowing one more language, which, if learned well, won’t ever be forgotten (like riding a bicycle!) and it is an invaluable wealth. Starting from that point I teach the position of the hand, the arm and the whole body at the piano, the fundamentals of the piano technique (giving great importance to the percussive movement of the finger and the distribution of weight), the understanding of musical language, the expression of the personality through the keyboard, the search for touch and knowledge of piano repertoire.

Welcome to my piano teaching studio! I am a professional pianist offering private piano and theory lessons for students of all levels. As a pianist with over 14 years of teaching experience in Europe and the USA, as well as over 23 years of playing/performing, I enjoy motivating my students with music of their own preferred style and interest, whether that be classical or contemporary. My main goal is to promote a positive experience and love for music-making during the learning process. If the student is interested in a more structured approach, I guide preparation for grades 1-8 of the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music (ABRSM) piano and music theory exams where my students consistently receive highest marks. I also have successful experience preparing students for conservatory entrance auditions, masterclasses, and competitions in the Europe, the USA, India, and Canada. We have class concerts at Pianos Maene for interested students twice per year. I am happy to provide either a more relaxed or a serious approach to learning piano, we simply need to discuss the personal goals and preferences of each student. My own studies are as follows: I have obtained two postgraduate performance degrees at the Royal Conservatory of Antwerp: "Concertsoloist" in Piano Performance and "Chamber Music” (under the guidance of esteemed professor Sergei Edelmann). Prior to this, I received my Bachelor and Masters degrees in Piano Performance/Music from the University of Minnesota - Minneapolis (with Prof. Lydia Artymiw) and Texas Christian University, Fort Worth (with Dr. Tamas Ungar). My experience includes collaboration with many different instrumentalists and singers, performing as a soloist and collaborative member in several orchestras, and receiving top prizes in several competitions. While maintaining my performance and recording career in Belgium at present, I am developing my private music studio in central Antwerp and look forward to meeting new students.

Hey! My name is Richard and I give private lessons to all levels. For guitar, it is important that you can improve yourself in a pleasant environment in a fun way where your interests are central. Do you want to delve deeper into a certain style? Do you want to create your own sound on your guitar using amps, and pedals, ...? I can help you with all that! Knowledge of solfège or music theory is not required, we can always discuss this in class if you wish, but that is certainly not mandatory ;) I have been playing the guitar since I was 9 years old and for several years now I have been playing in professional bands with which I have been able to play on sugar rock, for example. The lessons would take place at my home in Mol or via webcam. If necessary, we can always agree on something else. My experience runs mostly in early and classical music with an active performing life, nevertheless I also have the experience and knowledge of popular musical styles such as Latin-American folk, jazz and musicals. As a docent or vocal coach I've collaborate with different academic institutions and private artistic projects, focusing mostly on international students or social integration programs. I have years of experience teaching children, teenagers and adults in both Latin-America and Europe, therefore understanding different appreciation levels and needs. Violin lessons for beginners I can teach you the violin from scratch to professionalism, and this will include teaching musical notation, writing and reading. We can start by learning the principles of music and then gradually move to training on the violin. There will be a special book for teaching.
