Classical Guitar Performance (for beginners and advanced)

I teach classical guitar up to grade 7.

The purpose of this course is to bring students closer to a conservatory experience, where learning is not limited to "how-to" tutorials and lectures. Through a series of lessons customised according to your needs, assignments, and working with me on tasks, you will develop a great load of skills in classical guitar performance as well as a deep understanding of the classical guitar repertoire.

I focus on the western classical guitar repertoire from Renaissance to the 21st century (for example works of Dowland, Narvaez, Bach, Giuliani, Scarlatti, Carcassi, Tarrega, Villa-Lobos, Brouwer, Koshkin etc). Not only will we focus on the technical aspects of playing the guitar, but we will also analyse and use tools of music theory in order for you to deeply understand and be able to demonstrate your personal character in your performance.

Learning to play GUITAR is a magical journey, and you deserve a great tutor!
"I strongly believe that anyone can achieve great results and learn anything when they’re motivated and enthused. As we know education is often focused on passing exams but too often the joy of learning for the sake of just learning is missing. I can certainly help with passing exams, but in such a way that enthuses my students to want to learn more, developing their talent and curiosity. It’s important to me to create a nurturing environment to enable my student to explore their ideas without fear of failure, building confidence and ultimately excelling. I take pride on being able to discover the way a student thinks and the style of learning that best matches them. Above all though: a good sense of humour and fun goes a long way to ensuring the whole learning experience is positive.” PAOLO I qualified to teach: - Classical, Acoustic and Electric guitar lessons up to Grade 8 and DIplomas (Trinity College, ABRSM, RockSchool). - Piano, Bass guitar and Singing lessons up to Grade 6 (Trinity College and ABRSM). - Music technology, sound design and audio editing tuitions and workshop on Cubase (v. 7 to 11) and Logic Pro X . - Music theory, songwriting classes, and private tutoring for GCSE students who need extra help are also available.

Music Theory for All Levels, from Beginner to Advanced
A firm grasp of the theory of musical harmony is essential for every musician, at every level. This is an important aspect of music education, regardless of specialisation (performer, composer, analyst). This course will not only give you a strong foundation in the construction and manipulation of harmony but also will help you apply this knowledge in various different scenarios.

Jorge
Audio Production and Multitrack Mixing (Master in Advanced Music Technology and Bachelor in Science in Sound Engineering)
Music Producers and Sound Engineers, we use the expanded capabilities of studios to extend compositions into a device for arranging and composing (DAW: Logic Pro, ProTools, Ableton Live, OneStudio, Cubase, Reaper, Reason, etc). This has caused the recording studio to become a meta-instrument, to shape entire compositions. In my opinion, we are not any more composers of music, but we are composers of sound. As a music producer, not only the instrument played is decisive on the final result, but also the background elements, which can be heard or felt throughout the project, make such a big difference.

Private guitar lessons for every level: from basic chords to out of the box improvisation
Hey! My name is Richard and I give private lessons to all levels. For guitar, it is important that you can improve yourself in a pleasant environment in a fun way where your interests are central. Do you want to delve deeper into a certain style? Do you want to create your own sound on your guitar using amps, and pedals, ...? I can help you with all that! Knowledge of solfège or music theory is not required, we can always discuss this in class if you wish, but that is certainly not mandatory ;) I have been playing the guitar since I was 9 years old and for several years now I have been playing in professional bands with which I have been able to play on sugar rock, for example. The lessons would take place at my home in Mol or via webcam. If necessary, we can always agree on something else. Be sure to let me know if you have any questions and I will answer as soon as possible. See you soon! Richard PS: my specified hours are a guideline, if this does not suit you, you can certainly send us a message and we will try to arrange something :)
