Learn piano, synthesizer, and music production with Adriano. All levels. 10 years of teaching and stage experience.

I dive straight into practical learning with my students, aiming to help them achieve creative independence from the very first lessons. I adapt to all needs, piano playing, music production, DAW, composing and my lessons are suitable for children, adults, beginners, or advanced students.

My lessons cater to all levels and ages and I teach in English or French.

Lessons take place in my recording studios, just a 10-minute from Basel SBB. It's an inspiring, creative space, and you’ll be welcomed with good coffee :)

Teaching in a recording studio offers my students the unique opportunity to leave the lesson with a professional recording of their pieces. This provides an effective means for self-assessment and improvement.

See you soon!

"The music of Adriano resonates in both the heart and mind. It is born from the marriage of acoustic piano and electronic music. Leaving his family at the age of 17 to fully dedicate himself to his visceral need to create, Adriano has spent over a decade developing what has now become his identity. After 15 years of concerts in Switzerland and internationally (Montreux Jazz Festival, Moods - Zurich, Cully Jazz, Forces Motrices, Le Romandie, Reeperbahn Festival (DE), Fui-Son, etc...), the pianist now works full-time in composition. Notably, his piece "BRIEF" reached 700,000 streams on Spotify in 2022.

He devotes his work to incorporating a soft, organic, and imperfect piano into an electronic universe. He creates percussions, atmospheres, and patterns with a sound uncommon for a piano. His primary need is to develop a unique sound. This is why the pianist moved his workspace to a professional recording studio a year ago. Every day, Adriano works on composition as well as recording and creation techniques that serve his message."

About Me

I guess I am a fun teacher ! It's very important for me that every theoretical notions have a direct application in a song. Piano and music production has to be fun! Always.

I love to teach to beginners because I remembered how it was when I discovered at first all these music concepts and it was so amazing. That's why I love to teach these basis to my students.

On top of my piano teaching I have a lot of experience in composing, live acting , music production, mixing and master, music business and I would be glad to discuss about these things with more advanced students.

Education

I studied for 8 years at the school for pop and jazz music of Lausanne. I started a freelance musician life at the age of 17 years old to pursue my love for the stage and composing.

Experience / Qualifications

-More than 200 concerts in Swizerland and abroad (Reeperbahn Fest, Montreux Jazz Fest, Les Docks, etc...).
-Press reviews in Swizerland, UK, DE and France (BBC6 radio, Laurent Garnier, Electronic Mag UK, 20 minutes, 24 heures
-600 000 streams on the song "BRIEF" on Spotify
Piano pop, variety, jazz, improvisation, ear training, composition, or production on Ableton Live... I immediately start with practical work with my students and my aim is to enable them to develop a form of creative independence during the early lessons. I cater to all needs and my classes are for children, adults, beginners, or experienced learners. The lessons take place at my studio in Aarau. Some lessons can also be done in my recording studio in Lausanne (my upcoming recording studio will be built soon in Aarau) The benefit of giving lessons in a recording studio is the opportunity for my student to leave the lesson with a professional recording of their pieces, allowing for effective self-assessment of their work. My classes are suitable for all levels and ages. See you soon!

Singing lessons: vocal technique, repertoire, interpretation
Student singing at the Schola Cantorum Basel (medieval song until the twentieth century), I propose a general singing course: basic vocal technique (posture, work of the breath, sound work), discovery of different directories (in according to the tastes of the student), work on interpretation. I can accompany the student on the keyboard. I work with people of all ages, beginners or not. The goal is to move forward in a climate of trust. You can also contact me for music theory lessons only (reading notes and rhythm, deciphering, notions of music theory, ear work). I finally give piano lessons to beginners. I can give the course in French or in English. I prefer to move to the student's home but if it is not possible, I can propose solutions.

Music Composition - GCSE and A-Level Students - Beginners to Advanced
This class is designed for GCSE and A-Level music students eager to develop their composition skills in line with exam requirements. With a focus on originality and creativity, we will explore compositional techniques, musical structures, and stylistic understanding across a variety of genres. Each session will offer practical exercises and guided tasks tailored to exam criteria, encouraging students to build confidence and express their unique musical voice. Through regular feedback, constructive discussions, and assignment of relevant exercises between lessons, students will gain a deeper understanding of music theory, harmony, and instrumentation to enhance their compositions. My goal is to challenge students to think independently and to prepare them thoroughly for the composition components of their music exams, all within a supportive and engaging online environment.

Cheslava
Piano and Singing tutor with 5 years experience and professional education
From my childhood I have been studying music and art: sang in choir and solo, played piano, painted, studied music history and literature, solfeggio. Later in college I have also learned choir conducting, had ensemble and choir singing lessons, cultural studies. During last year in university I had pedagogy practice at university and at private art school (where I worked as a music tutor before the war - piano, voice). I truly enjoyed working with students. They all were different age (8 - 40+ years old) and level. But all were very interesting and work was pleasant. My education was very various: my core subjects were conducting, choir, voice, piano. So it allowed me to work with children, teens and adults with quite wide range of interests and needs: some students needed/wanted to learn particular composition(s), sometimes pop songs arrangements, some were interested in “introduction” to the music, some wanted to renew skills they gained in their childhood and continue their journey to the music world. In addition I prepared presentations (which contained information about cultural and historical background and musical and character/art analysis). So after graduation from choir conducting faculty (which allowed me to deepen my knowledge in many important compatible branches) I concentrated on studying classical singing and piano, expanded my cultural studies and analysis knowledge, practiced solfeggio and harmony.

Piano Lessons (Classical Music and Non classical), Music Theory, Harmony, Musical Arrangement, Composition
At my studio my students will not only learn how to play the piano, but they will receive a complete musical education in order to achieve their musical dreams. I will give all my best so everybody will get the tools for developing their own voice, helping them to master the instrument and teaching them all the theoretical knowledge they’ll need to make their particular personality shine. Openness, joy, dedication, creativity and passion for music are some of the things that you will find in the international environment of my studio. I care about who my students are and what they have to say to the world, and I will help them to develop it from the very first lesson. In my class you will not only be able to receive piano lessons but also will learn to understand how the music works as a language. If the interest and the profile of the student goes in the direction of the purely classical music performance, the lessons will be focused on a deep and conscious piano technique development, practicing techniques, musical interpretation, history of music, history of the piano, applied harmony on the keyboard, analysis, and score reading by a method that I have developed for over 15 years of experience. And if the students wish, I can help them to prepare for the ABRSM exams and competitions as well. All this is aiming to achieve in a very practical and exciting experience the best results in the fastest way possible. But if the profile and the interests of the students goes on another way, I will give them all the tools they need to understand the language of music in depth, so they can find their own voice on the instrument. In that case the lessons will include contents of piano technique, score reading, applied harmony on the keyboard, composition, improvisation, musical arrangement, music production, recording techniques, jazz and pop music analysis and performance. Both programs can be combined depending on the focus and the profile of the student, or in case the student would like to go deeper in one of the previously mentioned subjects there is the opportunity to take an independent course of specialization on the desired topic. At the end of the semester every student will perform at the winter and summer concerts held every year and will have the possibility of making a recording session with the material worked during the term. With this, the student will not only be able to see his progress and work, but also will give him a direct experience of performing and working on a live or studio recording session, which is a fundamental part of the developing process of every musician. Hope you can join and if so, I’ll be very happy to teach you!

Let's talk about music! Musical language, harmony, composition, various analyses, music in its sociocultural context or commented readings
(Important! The schedules are now closing with the students I already have, so it is difficult to specify a definitive schedule for September) Hello! I have been teaching uninterruptedly for more than 10 years and I would like to explain to you what you can find in a class with me: - To begin, the most important thing is to know what you want to achieve. I would like to focus the classes according to what you need or want, from learning for pure pleasure from scratch to preparing for entrance tests or focusing professionally. The needs of each student may vary the methodology, the way of organizing the study sessions, etc. - Once we know what we want to achieve and by when, classes will begin in a relaxed atmosphere. Important! Relaxed does not equal lax! only that we will try to resort to dynamic and as practical methods as possible, especially given my character and sense of humor ;). - Something important to highlight is that I always place special emphasis on the development of hearing, musicality and the analysis of your references. Above all so that you can then make your own aesthetic decisions and feel like owner of your music. - Last but not least, my tendency will be to give equal importance to different music. We will adapt to your tastes and needs, but here there is no room to say which music is better or worse. Each one will help us work on different aspects of the music and, if we don't know something, we will analyze it side by side until we unravel all its mysteries. The only thing I will do is work on themes and styles that can help us in each section of musical development (melody, harmony, rhythm, orchestration, production, lyrics, semiotics, etc.) If you like what you've read, don't hesitate to contact me. Learning music is a pleasure and I would love to share it with you! IMPORTANT!!! Due to the volume of concerts and other assignments I have, I will need to agree on a little flexibility. You will always be my priority and there will only be changes if I really can't find an alternative. I appreciate the understanding.

Learn the bass differently and intuitively
This course is above all there to make you want to play bass, let it be fun! It will be based on the practice of the instrument, on the understanding and the role of the bass. The theory will be based on the progress of the practice. Step by step, practice and theory will thus be complementary, and will necessarily be useful! Have you always dreamed of being able to play bass? it's time to get started! Let the magic of music take hold of you and become the accomplished bassist you always wanted to be! Possibility of offering this course to one of your loved ones, a very appreciated gift for people who would like to embark on a musical adventure!
