My name is Niusha, I am an Iranian (Persian) composer/teacher and a professional tar and setar player specializing in Persian traditional music. I offer tar, setar, music theory, ear training, and music listening lessons. If you are new to Persian traditional music or have some experience and want to take it to a more advanced level, you'll fit into my classes. Whether your goal is to be a fine musician or music is just a hobby, I will tailor a lesson for you. I genuinely believe in the holistic nature of learning music; it is more than simply playing an instrument. My tar and setar students learn music theory, ear training and music listening with me. We will build a logical sequence of studies that will help develop the technical aspects. And we will address repertoires according to the age and taste of the student. we will draw a path with short, medium and long term goals. we will build a technical routine and healthy habits to progress correctly. In addition, we will select musical pieces by mutual agreement to mature the technical development hand in hand with musical growth. I am a professional trumpeter, I have participated in symphony orchestras, wind bands, big band, and small chamber and jazz ensembles. I have extensive experience teaching children, youth and adults. For me it is very important to make music from the first lesson, because there must be a balance between technical practice and its application in small melodies or musical pieces. No matter the musical genre, we will always find a repertoire according to the level and interest of each student. If you already know how to play and you need to perfect a piece or prepare a recital or audition, you can count on my experience and accompaniment as well.

Shakuhachi is a traditional Japanese bamboo flute. It is unique in historical sense, Shakuhachi was played in Edo period, not as a musical instrument but a tool for Buddhism training. It also has very unique character as a wind instrument, and there is very satisfying pleasure to play it. In this class, we would like to share the joy and mindfulness of Shakuhachi playing. It is sometimes hard to make sound with Shakuhachi, but there is so much to be inspired by feeling your breath turning into the sound, by playing the instrument. Koudou is a professional Shakuhachi player, who has finished both the Bachelor and Master course at the Tokyo University of the Arts. Along with playing in concerts and lives, he also gives lessons daily and teach in workshops for beginners more than 50 times a year.

The Tecla y Música Workshop is a space designed to learn and develop your musical and expressive sense through the piano and / or keyboards. The main objective is to learn to make music and enjoy the learning process and its results. The material with which we work (songs, instrumental pieces and exercises) is mainly oriented to your musical taste, and the choice is based on gradually expanding your technical and expressive possibilities, while exploring different musical styles. In this way, different tools are being incorporated to achieve, in a short term, mastery and fluency over the musical language and the instrument. Given that each student has different interests and concerns, whether playing as a hobby or developing a professional career, composing, improvising, etc., the orientation of the classes is built according to the possibilities and particular needs of each case. The work proposal implies a weekly class frequency to achieve optimal work dynamics and that the results are visible in a short term. There is also the possibility of taking isolated classes in order to solve a specific objective such as developing and perfecting some particular aspect of music practice and / or theory as well as preparing instrument exams or theoretical subjects for institutions of musical studies.

We will explore the development of Western European music from Antiquity to Modernity, based on my former Berklee College of Music training (alumni). Antiquity,Middle Ages,Renaissance, Baroque, Classical, romantic, and 20th century ; music spanning all these periods will be explored in depth.
