Ciao and よろしく! My name's Aaron and I'm a certified foreign language teacher with a knack for both teaching and learning languages. My university degree was in linguistics and foreign language acquisition with a specialisation in Japanese and Spanish, where I had the chance to study abroad in Japan and obtain an N1 proficiency certificate. For the past 4 years I have been living and working in a fully immersive environment in Sicily, Italy. My teaching method involves using real life and relevant material and encouraging the student to "produce" as much language as possible, always based on the student's needs and learning objectives. I expect my students to take responsibility for their learning as much as I take responsibility for them. I have had the chance to teach English to people of various ages and in various countries, where I learned how to properly structure lesson plans and courses. As time has gone on, I have found joy in teaching beginner and intermediate level Japanese and Italian and I look forward to teaching to you too!

As an Italian Opera singer, I help since many years singers with the right pronunciation of the repertoire they sing, helping them in shaping the language in a clear way, which also helps the singing. Our lesson will involve speaking, pronunciation exercises and singing. We will start the lesson by reading the text and finding the right direction and emphasis. We will focus on the sounds and how to produce them. In the second part of the lesson, we will apply all of the above to the singing!
