Hi, I’m Kristie, an American violinist and concertmaster of a major Belgian orchestra. My full time job is performing on stage as a concertmaster, chamber musician, and recitalist, but in my spare time I love to teach and guide violinists of all levels and aspirations. My schedule is flexible week-to-week, so we can always find a moment that works for everyone. I am happy to work with violinists of all ages and abilities. Trough the course of my education period and in my professional life I have stumbled upon a lot of issues and difficulties I needed to figure out how to solve. Studying with multiple professors and going to private lessons gave me (and still is) different pieces of the puzzle and together with my own observations, I started to understand it is really about knowing how things operate and giving it some love and practice. I want to share everything I know to help you become a great violin player. The classes will depend on what you want and need at the moment, it can be tehnical excercizes, posture, making you more aware and relaxed in general and/or repertoire directly, we will discuss it together and make it work for you!

My teaching method is flexible, as I can give lessons for a specific purpose (passing an exam, passing a test...) as well as working with people who are just looking to learn an instrument as a hobby. I have experience teaching children from 6 years old up to adults. Depending on the age and the goal you want to achieve with the classes, the lessons can be between 30 and 90 minutes long. I not only give lessons based on my method, but I can also reinforce students who already have a teacher to help them to achieve the work that the teacher has imposed on them by adapting to their way of working.

Violin learning is the process of discovering one's own voice through the infinite possibilities that this four strings instrument has to offer. From sparkling, intense and rough to pure, kind and crystalline; learning the violin, as many other arts, is about freeing the emotion through the discipline and order of sound and movement. Let me introduce myself. I am Ángeles, an Andalusian in Finland, finishing my master degree in Music Performance at the prestigious Sibelius Academy with great professor Mari Tampere-Bezrodny. I came to Helsinki two years ago seeking for a personal and cultural growth, with huge passion for music and the need to share it. I discovered in violin teaching a new path to that energy to come true, to materialize, by inspiring and leading enthusiastic students to their best performance. The starting level and goals of the student will determine the direction of the lessons. In piano lessons, we use the book method of Notus or Hal Leonard. Everything is explained step by step and you gradually learn to read music and know the piano. At the start of our lessons we'll take a look at what is important to you. What goals do you want to set, and what feels achievable and comfortable? We set long-term goals of, for example, a year. Completely tailored to where you are at, right now. During the lessons I am patient, motivating, encouraging, and complimenting. I'll point out what could be better, and also pay attention to how you can play more easily. And much more. Tailored to your needs and wishes.

My goal is to make people of all ages and levels learn not only playing an instrument but how can music help them in their everyday life. I am an Albanian violinist, with a Bachelor degree in Classical Music (Violin) and Musicologie in Sorbonne University. Over the years, my experiences with different youth and professional orchestras all around Europe have made me understand that music is important not only for professional musicians but also for everyone. I can teach in English or French and of course in my mother tongue Albanian.

I am a professional violinist. I graduated with distinction at the Royal Conservatory of Brussels (Master) and hold a Bachelor Diploma from Codarts (Rotterdam). I also pursued a masters degree in Music Education at the Royal Conservatory of Brussels. I teach students of all ages and levels. I have thirteen years of teaching experience in the Netherlands and in Belgium ( privately and at music schools: Hart Muziekschool in Haarlem and Vioolstudio 020! in Amsterdam). In my lessons I help the students to find a good contact with the instrument and cultivate a positive relationship with music by integrating the development of aural skills, sense of rhythm and an optimal body use, enabling them to connect with their musical imagination.
