Welcome to my piano teaching studio! I am a professional pianist offering private piano and theory lessons for students of all levels. As a pianist with over 14 years of teaching experience in Europe and the USA, as well as over 23 years of playing/performing, I enjoy motivating my students with music of their own preferred style and interest, whether that be classical or contemporary. My main goal is to promote a positive experience and love for music-making during the learning process. If the student is interested in a more structured approach, I guide preparation for grades 1-8 of the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music (ABRSM) piano and music theory exams where my students consistently receive highest marks. I also have successful experience preparing students for conservatory entrance auditions, masterclasses, and competitions in the Europe, the USA, India, and Canada. We have class concerts at Pianos Maene for interested students twice per year. I am happy to provide either a more relaxed or a serious approach to learning piano, we simply need to discuss the personal goals and preferences of each student. My own studies are as follows: I have obtained two postgraduate performance degrees at the Royal Conservatory of Antwerp: "Concertsoloist" in Piano Performance and "Chamber Music." Prior to this, I received my Bachelor and Masters degrees in Piano Performance/Music from the University of Minnesota - Minneapolis and Texas Christian University, Fort Worth (USA). My experience includes collaboration with many different instrumentalists and singers, performing as a soloist and collaborative member in several orchestras, and receiving top prizes in several competitions. While maintaining my performance and recording career in Belgium at present, I am developing my private music studio in central Antwerp and look forward to meeting new students.

In piano lessons, we use the book method of Notus or Hal Leonard. Everything is explained step by step and you gradually learn to read music and know the piano. At the start of our lessons we'll take a look at what is important to you. What goals do you want to set, and what feels achievable and comfortable? We set long-term goals of, for example, a year. Completely tailored to where you are at, right now. During the lessons I am patient, motivating, encouraging, and complimenting. I'll point out what could be better, and also pay attention to how you can play more easily. And much more. Tailored to your needs and wishes.

Customized piano lessons for children and adults. No knowledge of solfège is required to start piano lessons. If there is no prior knowledge, some music theory will also be involved. If you are interested, please feel free to contact me! I look forward to working with you!

Master Ed gives tailor-made individual music lessons in a relaxed atmosphere. This can be done in his workspace in Antwerp or at your home if you live within a radius of 2 km from Antwerp Central Station. All levels and all ages are welcome, including absolute beginners! Master Ed is structured, but flexible: he personally guides you in your style (from rock to classical to improvisation) with the approach that suits you best. You don't have to come to class every week, or even on the same day.

I have taught piano for 4 years and I see it as the means to bring my experience with music directly to students. Therefore, my primary goal as a teacher is to make this experience enjoyable, enriching, and challenging. My lessons are organized depending on the level, needs, and objectives of the student. We can work on classic repertoire, pop, and movie soundtracks, or improvise. I love to share my passion for music with my students.

Hello! My name is Beatriz. I am a Spanish cellist and I have just finished my Master's Studies at the Royal Conservatory of Antwerp. Would you like to learn to play the cello? I have been playing the piano for around 6 years. Since it is not my main instrument, I have had to find ways of learning it on my own already as an adult. Therefore, I have developed my own method to understand how the instrument works, which works especially well with beginners. I truly love the piano and I love seeing how passionate my students get when they learn how to make music with this instrument. My name is Jorgina, I am dedicated to nurture a genuine love for music to children through personalized piano lessons. I am Spanish Antwerp-based, I play violin and piano since the age of 6. I help young musicians build their skills and confidence by focusing on creativity, independence and a fun learning experience. My goal is to help each student fall in love with piano by adapting the lessons to their interests and needs ensuring an enjoyable first contact with the instrument. I always propose a customized repertoire based on the student choice, from classical to modern music with the possibility to explore composition and music production in Ableton. I can teach in English or in Spanish and I offer the lessons at my place or I can travel to my students location.

Besides teaching all the important aspects of piano playing, I would like to share my passion for music with my students and help them build a solid base in a fun and interactive way. I teach bass guitar which is my main instrument of 12 years, to all ages. I have experience mainly teaching it to beginners and intermediates. The classes are structured to cover basics of bass playing in terms of both technique and theory. One may expect to have exercises as weekly assignments. These exercises are weekly put together by me using a variety of bass method books. The weight of music theory, harmony and ear training within what we cover can be rearranged according to the needs and expectations of the student.

Hello! I am Laura and I have a master's diploma in cello. One of my personal breakthroughs has been to build concentration through music, and I wonder if I can help you achieve the same through cello playing. Throughout my teaching experience, I have had both kids and adult beginners, cello as a second instrument, and already started teenagers who wanted to improve further their skills. In terms of my studies, this is my story: On the excitement of exploring music and cello, I've traveled and studied in various countries like the UK (one year and a half of my Bachelor's), the Netherlands (master in music), and France, where I currently receive lessons.
