Drum lessons/drum classes: for beginners/intermediate level

I give music lessons for people from young to old in the following instruments: Piano, bass guitar and electric guitar. The lessons are mainly based on your wishes and goals. If you would like to be able to play along to your favorite songs on the radio, I can certainly help you. I also support musicians who are already playing an instrument, technical exercises, phrasing, melodic techniques, they are all offered in the lessons from beginner to advanced. In terms of music style, I have a lot of knowledge in Jazz & Pop/rock, Gospel, R&B, Hiphop, Funk. I have my secondary diploma in music and also completed a Bachelor's degree in pop & rock music for bass guitar and piano.

The world of percussion offers an endless array of possibilities. My teaching will depend on the student: whether they would like to specialize in certain instrument(s) or styles or become an all-round percussionist who is not afraid to dive in wherever music takes them. I think it's best for consistent development to have a plan with a goal in mind. Where do you want to be in 10 years? How to get there? What do we need to do for it each year, each month, and each week? At the beginning of each lesson, I would like to listen to what the student has prepared, and from there, we will figure out what steps are needed to make it even better.

My name is Eduardo. I'm from Spain and nowadays I live in Antwerp. I'm graduated in ciences and history of music with the saxophone specialty at the conservatory superior of Alicante and a master's degree in education at the university of Alicante. Also I've studied 3 pedagogic courses of education at the university of Madrid. On the another part I've done jazz courses in some provinces of Spain. In these drum lessons the focus is mainly on playing technique of hands and feet and material. If you struggle with speed or you start playing, good technique is very important. A badly learned technique is also difficult to learn later. You get to know the drum set inside and out, the different types of sticks, the tuning of your drum kit, the choice of sheets and cymbals. For many people improvisation is a scary word and having to improvise in a group or band is an alarming prospect. However, this really does not need to be the case. As long as you have a basic knowledge of how to play your instrument you will be able to improvise. Once you know the principle of how chords are formed you will soon be improvising with ease. If you play a keyboard instrument you will be able to improvise your own pieces and be able to entertain your friends at a moments notice. On the other hand if you play in a band or a group you will be well equipped to do a real 'jam' session. Whether you play a single line instrument (flute, saxophone, trumpet, violin etc.) or keyboard instruments, this class is for you.

My name is Federico and I am a professional and Award Winning saxophone player. I worked at Koninklijk Conservatorium of Bruxelles as an Assistant Professor of Jeroen Van Herzeele the jazz saxophone professor. I graduated at Conservatorio G.Martucci of Salerno (Italy) and had both Bachelor and Master with full marks with honors. During the course of my studies i also spent two academic years abroad , one at the Kask and Conservatorium of Ghent with the supervision of Bart Defoort and one at the Koninklijk Conservatorium of Bruxelles with John Ruocco. In 2017 i won the "Massimo Urbani International Jazz Competition" prize that saw as head of the jury Kurt Rosenwinkel & Fabrizio Bosso. I play in several Jazz bands and I have been performing all around Europe. I recorded a solo album called "Right Now" with the famous Italian label "Philology Records" & the album"Supernova" with my own band. I also recorded several albums with different bands and of many styles, from jazz, funk to pop. I toured with the famous Italian Drummer Tullio De Piscopo (Pino Daniele, Mina, Astor Piazzolla's drummer) and also had the chance to make a variety of television appearances on Italian National Television (Rai1, Rai5, Rai3).
