Passionate about history and geography, I would gladly give you lessons from primary to high school level. Having taken the specialty of history-geography during my last two years of high school, I consider myself to have a good level in these subjects. I would be happy to help with revisions, training on the method to adopt, or clarification on the course.

With this tutoring class, my aim is to help the student to reach a level of understand of historical event with a methodology that is appropriate for the student and helps him/her. It can be a revision of basic notions seen in school or it can be the preparation of an exam .

I offer classes on History, Geography, and Political Science, with over 11 years' of experience in these subjects, both professionally and academically. I hold Bachelor's Degrees in both History and Political Science (from the University of Florida), as well as a Master's in Political Science, specifically European Politics (from KU Leuven). I have extensive experience in a wide range of historical and political subjects and have always had a keen interest in history and the social sciences. Additionally, previously I have been a journalist (dealing with Competition Law) and currently am an editor working on a wide variety of subjects for organizations such as the UNHCR and Goethe Institut, among others. I am capable of teaching and lecturing on numerous historical and political events and periods in history, with myself having specialized in European history, American history, African history, as well as the Medieval period and Antiquity.

History and geography in secondary school are subjects that may seem complex to students, because they require both rote learning and a certain analytical mind. However, with the right keys, they do not pose great difficulties and can even be rewarding. With my experience as a teacher in a vocational high school, I offer your child the opportunity to upgrade or refresh their knowledge in history and geography, whether they are preparing for an exam (brevet, baccalaureate, CAP) or not.

History is what connects the present to the past and helps us to predict the future. In my class, you will learn modern european history, in particular the history of Germany from 1918 to 1989. You will be taught by a world class teacher that has studied European history to a high level, gaining an A in the subject. The key aspects of the history of Germany will be broken down into manageable chunks for students to understand more easily. The classes are delivered through interactive learning consisting of kahoot quizes, powerpoint slides and asking questions to students. By making these classes fun and engaging, my aim is for students to always come away learning something they did not know before. All students of any age are welcome to join this class. The teacher is a Ugandan PhD student in International History at the London School of Economics and Political Science. He won a Government of Uganda Scholarship to pursue his undergraduate studies at Gulu University, gaining a first-class degree in Bachelor of Arts Education (History and Economics). Isa is also a graduate of the University of Cambridge, where he studied for an MPhil in African Studies as a Commonwealth Scholar. He has more than eight years of teaching experience, both at the secondary school and university level. In the past, he has taught classes on European, British, African, US, Asian, and Middle East histories. My history classes are suitable for the 10, 11, 12, and 13-year-old UK and IGCSE students (Cambridge International Curriculum) and AS and A-Level students (UK and Cambridge International). The learners will study history from political, economic, cultural, and social perspectives. They will develop an interest in understanding the past. With over one year experience in teaching and a decade long experience with adolescents and young adults, I, herein, present my course in "International Humanitarian Law". In today's globalized world where the effects and repercussions of a conflict are not confined within a single state, it becomes crucial to know what rules are in place that regulate conflict and provide protection to those who are vulnerable. Aiming to mitigate and prevent human suffering in an armed conflict, International Humanitarian Law gives us answers to questions, such as: who can and cannot be targeted and under which conditions; at what times does a protected person lose protection; who is a combatant; what distinguishes a combatant from a civilian; and, what protections are available to those who do not take part in an armed conflict. Amidst the many interstate conflicts, such as, Ukraine-Russia, Iran-Israel and Palestine-Israel conflicts, as well as the intrastate ones, such as in Sudan, having a working knowledge of International Humanitarian Law becomes even more vital as it re-establishes one's trust in law and humanity at such uncertain times as these ones.

I have a degree in Art History from the Complutense University of Madrid and have completed a Master's Degree in Teacher Training. These studies allow me to teach most of the humanities subjects and, above all, to ESO and Bachillerato students. In addition, I have one year of experience as a teacher at the El Valle Las Tablas charter school, where I was in charge of the entire 2nd ESO level in the Geography and History subject and I was a tutor for one of the groups. In addition to this, I have been a monitor and coordinator in the scout group 291 Alfa Centauro in Alcalá de Henares, so I have experience working with children of all ages. I have also been a private tutor for various subjects for several years. On the other hand, I have a C1 level in English, recognised by Trinity, which allows me to teach this language. My teaching approach is based on creating a positive atmosphere in which students feel comfortable. I firmly believe that the best teaching is that which is understood, which is why it is my main objective. I also instill the importance of working on the content, because only in this way can a private / support teacher help the student in the most satisfactory way possible.

I studied medicine, then accounting and management. I have experience in teaching (helping with homework) children. I give lessons in mathematics, physics-chemistry or history-geography lessons for children from 3 years old to 3rd grade.
