There is no need to have a minimum level for the lessons, whether you are a beginner or have an advanced level for violin-viola or Music theory, my lessons will be adapted to your needs and desires to get the best out of each student. I'm Georgian violinist, currently studying at the concervatory van Amsterdam. I have a lot of experience to play on stage as a soloist as well as in ensembles. I am winner of many national and international competitions. I have had many opportunities to get lessons from many well known teachers, musicians from all over the world. Currently, I get lessons from Prof. Ilya Grubert. It's my pleasure to share my knowledge to others and have a nice music atmosphere!

As a Cambridge University graduate in the Faculty of Education, I am delighted to have settled down in the Netherlands since September 2019. I started piano at the age of 5, and music has been an important part of my life ever since. Classically trained as a violinist, I picked up another instrument named Erhu (Chinese violin) and became a professional performer. I am experienced in teaching both children and adults, from different cultural backgrounds. Also, I have been actively involved in both Western and Chinese orchestra since high school. Thanks to my years of experience in being an orchestra member and soloist, I am also familiar with orchestral music. As a humble music therapist, I am passionate about music and believe in the power of music. I trust that music is in everybody and I respect every student's individuality and thus tailor my teaching methods to develop my students' full potential. I started teaching in 2009 and most students put their trust in me when they first decided to learn an instrument. I also enjoy exploring the world of music with students with learning disabilities. I am proud to say, my students, aged from 5 to 60, are enthusiastic in playing the instrument they have chosen and keen to improve their skills following my advice. I adopt a flexible approach in teaching - I believe every student is unique and my job is to develop the strengths and improve the weaknesses. I put a lot of emphasis on a solid foundation in my teaching. For young children, I tend to use a more interactive approach to explain complicated music theories, yet strict in the fundamentals such as posture and rhythm. For adults, I am always happy to discuss with them my lesson plan and choose the best exercises and songs that suit their music interests and needs. For my students who would like to take exams, I am happy to tailor the lessons based on their progress. I believe in the quality of learning and understanding rather than the number of pieces that they learn. Many beginners and their parents have put their trusts in me and achieved distinction in their first ABRSM exam. I am fluent in English and Mandarin Chinese, and a native speaker of Cantonese Chinese. I am happy to travel and travel costs will be added on the top of the standard tuition fee. *Proof of qualifications avaliable upon requests.

Music is Play! and everyone is it's own game. Read, understand and make only the music you like. I think if it isn't fun, it can't be music:) I studied a classical piano bachelor, and later a jazz master and a live electronics master. In the meantime, I have been teaching music. It's longer than 9 years now! Most of my students learn piano. With the starter ones, I use my own system to equally help them grow all the needed skills: body consciousness (to avoid lesions or bad habits), music theory (including writing and reading) and improvisation. Usually most songs are made of melody, chords and rhythm. From there, I can help you understand how a song works, how is it written, how does it translate to the piano... and voilá! You'll know the song by heart, and will be able to play it a bit different every time, because you won't be following a set of pre-imposed instructions. You will understand how a small system (a song) works. This way of learning can be applied to any song, from any century or style. Understanding is key! Play Chopin, write rock songs, play Monk, Bill Evans, the Beatles, make a lo-fi beat, play Beethoven, play the Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter and Star Wars, play video game music, play salsa! bachata and make people dance, laugh or cry. Music is very powerful! PD: I have also experience imparting electronic music lessons in Ableton Live and Max MSP, which is now a very important part of my professional practice. My violin lessons are shaped in relation to the student's age, goals and interests. I have experience in teaching to children as well as adults and I like the student to have fun while learning such a wonderful thing as playing music. If you are a beginner I'll start with the basic theory, but always in combination with practical approach on the instrument. I'm mostly working with classical music, but I'm also into other genres and I'm very open to help you in any way I can. I can teach in english and in Italian (working on the dutch!) and I can't provide the violin, but I can give some suggestions about where and how to find it. Please contact me if interested!

Hello, everyone! I'm Val, and I'm a violinist. I also enjoy teaching and am ready to share my expertise of master the violin with both kids and adults 🎶 I began my music education in Minsk, and later, I earned a Bachelor's and Master's degree in music at KULeuven in Belgium.

Private lessons for beginners to advanced level of violin playing. All ages are welcome. I am a professionally trained teacher and violinist for almost two decades. My lessons are given in English, Spanish and (soon) Dutch and French. My teaching method is variable depending on the students' needs, but the goal is shared: to make a great musician and qualified violinist out of the pupil. I work on both technical and musical aspects from a (very) consciously prepared healthy and enjoyable perspective. Particular emphasis on having fun with the little ones! I pay special attention to creating a personalized education and experience for every one of my students. I also give some additional tools applicable to the violin playing which includes: Introduction to Yoga, Feldenkrais, Alexander Technique and Body & Mind. All the basic theory is taught too. Occasionally, there are student concerts and collaborations with other teachers. (These may include some teachers from the Sweelinck Academy or the Conservatorium van Amsterdam, and more). From among the required tools for my lessons are: a violin and a bow, score and books purchases when necessary, and, from time to time, meetings with the parents. On occasion, I use digital tools like phone/tablet apps. I can teach in various places near or in the centre of Amsterdam, or, depending on the need, I can move to pretty much wherever in The Netherlands. About the homework, I send it to the students on a weekly basis and encourage them to participate on competitions and summer music courses. As always, this is conditional on the pupil's stage.

As a professional violinist, I have been traveling the world performing and recording all my life. I love to teach all ages and all levels. I work with an orchestra in London and various orchestras in Belgium and The Netherlands. I teach in Dutch and English.

Blair began violin at age 6, studying under a number of world-class teachers including Sebastian Muller, Prof. Yair Kless, Michael Malmgreen, Milan Vitek, Soon-Mi Chung, Mauricio Fuks and Detlef Hahn. Attending the Junior Royal Northern College of Music, he also developed his abilities across a range of studies, pursuing both classical and jazz piano, conducting and composition. Receiving a BMus (Hons) from the Royal Northern College of Music, Blair led ensembles including RNCM String Orchestra, Session Orchestra and was a founding member of the UnHeard Hybrid Orchestra and John Phillips Quartet. Currently undergoing a Master's in Live Electronics at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam, Blair explores the combining of his traditional instruments with live electronic extensions. With a strong passion for both contemporary and classical repertoire, I prioritise creating a supportive environment where you can confidently explore your musical creativity. As your teacher, I aim to empower you to discover new styles while staying grounded in foundational techniques. If you're motivated and eager to learn, I'd be delighted to work with you. Music production is one thing that refers to a lot of different things as it's in a sort of middle ground between something purely musical as composition, instrumentation or arraging and the technical aspect, like mixing, mastering or using a daw. In this classes we can focus on what you want to do or learn regarding those topics, or the ones that I think would help you best, putting an emphasis on how you can apply the information that you gain in your own way or imitating certain aspects of a specific genre, finishing songs, mixing them or just to loose the fear of making music and became more relaxed in a creative sense and have fun with it.

Hello everyone, I'm Enrico and I come from Italy. Right now I am in Utrecht where I am doing a master's degree in cello under the guidance of Timora Rosler. During my years of studies I always had the possibility to teach music, in fact while I was doing my Bachelor in Italy at the Conservatory of Turin, I taught cello and music theory in a private music school called "Isla de Musiqueros", in this school I had the opportunity to teach people of all ages, including children under 4 years old. When I moved to the Netherlands little by little I started to find students and many many concerts. I believe that playing is the best way to have fun and express your emotions, the work I want to do is work on tensions and try to help you melt away while playing, in this way you can have more sound and feel more free. Technique is also very important in the everyday life of a musician, together we can see the best exercises for you, to help you improve and have more confidence with the instrument.

Playing an instrument and reading music can be challenging for a beginner but everything is possible with work and fun!
