My name is Teis. I am a Danish guitarist trained in Jazz music at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam and USC Thornton School of Music (Los Angeles). I have played since age 7, studied since age 13, and played professionally since age 18. I work professionally as a band leader, composer, and side person. After around 25 years of experience on the guitar, I can confidently say that I am equipped to share the knowledge that I have accumulated over the years. In all honesty: I have never found myself to be particularly "talented". But I am a hard worker. I truly believe that talent is not something you are born with, but something you can develop and grow. Together we will explore secrets and tips for a healthy guitar routine. We will improve your technique and ear training abilities with direct and fun exercises. Whether you are just a beginner or an intermediate/advanced guitarist, we can explore the instrument and all its possibilities. Practicing and playing with a teacher in a one-on-one situation is the most effective way to get better faster, and I advise it to all the guitar and music lovers out there. In my guitar course, we start from where you are at and set a goal fitting to what you want to achieve. For example, our focus could be a.o.: Fingerpicking Soloing Accompanying yourself Songwriting Two ways to go about it; Single lesson: We go from where you are at the moment, and I help you move forward. 5 or 10 lesson bundle: I will make a detailed plan for you and we will conclude the lessons with a performance of some sort. I will help you elevate and broaden your skill set, in your preferred style, but also ear training and theory. We will build a sustainable practice routine together, and you will get access to a library of practice play-alongs and manuals, that you can use to build a solid platform as a musician! My name is Andrius and I am a professional saxophonist and educator. I’ve been living, studying and giving lessons in Amsterdam for more than 6 years. Playing music is a big part of my life and the biggest joy that I could have wished for. Everyone can do it and the results can be seen pretty fast without spending endless amounts of hours. My lessons would be of course adjusted to the students needs and my own personal experience. What you can learn?

The lesson can take many shapes and forms. The main benefit of learning with a teacher, rather than from a video or a book, is that each lesson can be different and tailored to your needs! For example, you can bring a song you're trying or want to learn (recording or sheet music/tab) and we'll work on it together. You can come with a specific problem like a part or technique you cannot get right. Maybe you are just in a place where you don't know what to do next. Don't worry, I'll help you set your musical voyage on course. Finally, if you don't want or feel like bringing anything, you just want to come and have fun playing and talking about music — that's also great! Here are the examples of different problems I can help you solve: • arranging songs you like on the guitar, • improving technique by playing music you like, • upgrading the campfire chops, • composing indie lines and sounds, talking about pedals, • learning to improvise, • learning music theory, • learning jazz standards, • basics of recording, making demos, and backing tracks. My teaching method is flexible and always aimed at the needs of the student. As well as the instrument technique I would suggest an in-depth study in ear-training, theory music and repertoire. The lesson is about teaching by involving the student in a fun and well outlined path, without forgetting the joy of learning and making music. I've being teaching saxophone, improvisation, theory music and clarinet (for beginners) for all ages and abilities for almost 10 years now and, depending on which path the student is looking for, I will be thrilled to share and pass on the knowledge I have acquired throughout my teaching and artistic career.

About me? I’m Luso-american musician who moved to Amsterdam to study jazz trumpet at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam, where I’m currently finishing my bachelor degree. I started playing the trumpet when I was 9 years old, and since then my passion for music just kept on growing bigger. My main focus as a jazz musician was big band playing, where I’m specialised in lead trumpet playing, however I kept myself open to different styles being part of Afrobeat bands, playing in small formations, such as trios or just playing some groovin’ music from Earth Wind & Fire or Kool & The Gang.

My bass lessons are intended for students of all levels from beginners to pre-conservatory level. In the lessons we talk about essential aspects of bass playing - so technique, timing, awareness of rhythm and harmony. And that in connection with different music styles: pop, rock, funk, jazz, hip-hop, electronica. For anyone who has ambitions to continue, I also treat: solfège, music theory, auditory theory, polyrhythms. What exactly we will do in class will therefore differ per student, depending on his/her needs and wishes.
