I give piano and music lessons in Dutch and English, both for children and adults. Group lessons are also possible! Lessons are tailored to students interests and goals. I combine technical tasks, with music theory knowledge, as well as creative assignments to reach their desired goals.

Hello there! My name is Antek and i'm a cellist and composer who graduated from Conservatorium van Amsterdam. As a cellist I've had the pleasure and honour of collaborating with renowned artists such as Hans Zimmer, being part of his 2022 European Tour Orchestra, touring over 15 countries and playing in locations such as London's O2 Arena or Ziggo Dome in Amsterdam. I am now mainly active as a performer of contemporary/experimental music, as well as classical music, freelancing in various orchestras in the Netherlands, having played in venues such as Muziekgebouw aan 't IJ, Concertgebouw or TivoliVredenburg. I offer cello lessons, regardless of the level - whether you are a curious beginner or more advanced player, i'm happy to collaborate and share my knowledge and experience with you, as well as inspire your creativity regarding both playing the right notes, and making artistic choices. I can also help you prepare for conservatory entrance exams by providing Solfege, Ear-training and General Music Theory lessons. As a composer, I'm currently pursuing a degree at Royal Conservatoire of Antwerp. I can help you work on your ideas, and how to write them down, to sound exactly how you want them to sound. That includes tutorials on engraving rules, orchestration, working in DAWs (Ableton) and using sheet music software (Sibelius, MuseScore), as well as building your craft and workflow. I'm experienced in writing both instrumental and electronic music, as well as performance art, live electronics and multidisciplinary projects. I have also collaborated with institutions like National Polish Radio or CelloWercken Festival Zutphen. In addition to my performing work as a drummer and composer, I have been teaching drums to motivated students of different levels and ages for over 20 years. As a certified drum teacher (Amsterdam Conservatory), I have my own teaching practice in the Q-factory in Amsterdam East/Oostpoort: Drum Practice East. I gave lessons and workshops to students at the HKU, the Conservatory Amsterdam (pop and jazz departments), Conservatorium Utrecht, DSOP Amsterdam, Tiroler Landeskonservatorium Innsbruck and Musikhochschule Franz Liszt Weimar (D). Sound is a word with a broad meaning. In these classes we will focus on listening sessions and sound composition/improvisation. At first, we will exercise the art of listening (natural and artificial/man made sounds). Later on we will try to make sound compositions and improvisations manually and on computer programs (optional). Listening is a powerful tool for daily awareness. Listening to your surrounding, means being aware of other things and entities that exist around you, which adds on to a deeper understanding of oneself and one’s environment. Through a selection of music, sounds and a series of exercises, I will guide you through a journey of listening to yourself and your surrounding.

The drumset is one of the most important and powerful instruments in a music ensemble. It does not only provide the rhythm and groove foundation for all the other instruments - it also defines the sound of the band, the character of the songs, the volume... just like an orchestra conductor. In these lessons (which are of course personalized and open depending on the interests of the student) we will work beyond the physical/mechanical aspect of the drums (technique, coordination, etc) into the musical aspect, so we will spend some time listening and analyzing music together, working on ear training and music theory from a practical point of view.

Music is a great way to express yourself and your feelings, it is an amazing tool to learn about your personality. As an art form, music has been around with us from ancient times. As a musician, you'll need to be able to know music theory and acquire technique. Through years of teaching I've developed a method of learning music in a practical and structured way, keeping the joy of making music as a main focus, as well as providing with all the necessary theoretical background. I teach music to all ages: my students currently are from 5 to 81 years old. And all levels: I have an individual approach for every student. You will learn how to play music, listen to music, compose your own music and more! Usually, my students are able to make music within a first week of learning and I have a lot of positive feedbacks and reviews from them! My lessons are: saxophone, improvisation, composition, Ableton Live, artist development.

The basic course takes you through all the elements you need to professionally write and produce music; with specialties ranging from record production to writing for media i.e. T.V and film. Learn all the pitfalls and save yourself years of pain! :) Skills I take you through are: 1. Music finishing; e.g. lyrics, arrangements, programming drums and synth parts. 2. Performance and recording techniques - setting up microphones, and hands on exploring the different types and 'colours' they record. How to record real synths and find the correct sounds for your music. Re-amping guitars and anything else to give your music more life! 3. Mixing; Using Pro Tools HD, Logic and Ableton, an SSL mixer with lots of classic 'outboard' equipment as well as the latest plugins on board the computer. 4. Mastering; The final stage of releasing music is making it sounds amazing on all systems. A course is tailor-made to suit the desire of the student - from recording and releasing your own music, to film audio post-production and sound design and everything else in-between. I have more than 30 years in the music industry, previously working at BBC Radio 1/1xtra station, and also at Jools Holland's Helicon Mountain studios in West London. I am eager to share what I have learnt over the years in a really friendly environment - it's perfect to take home all the knowledge you need to write from anywhere in the coming years.

In that case the lessons will include contents of piano technique, score reading, applied harmony on the keyboard, composition, improvisation, musical arrangement, music production, recording techniques, jazz and pop music analysis and performance. Both programs can be combined depending on the focus and the profile of the student, or in case the student would like to go deeper in one of the previously mentioned subjects there is the opportunity to take an independent course of specialization on the desired topic. At the end of the semester every student will perform at the winter and summer concerts held every year and will have the possibility of making a recording session with the material worked during the term. With this, the student will not only be able to see his progress and work, but also will give him a direct experience of performing and working on a live or studio recording session, which is a fundamental part of the developing process of every musician.
