Born in a Belgian family, I grew up in Brussels and followed a bilingual education at the Lycée Français Jean Monnet where I got my high school diploma; Baccalaureate (Economic and Social section with International Option of Baccalaureate). In my last year of high school, I tutored a 6-year-old with all her subjects(math, french, dutch and science). Who? I am a twenty-eight-year-old French and U.S. Anthropology student. I am trained in FLE (French as a Second Language) and have worked for the National French Education Ministry as a Middle School Teacher on the beautiful island of Mayotte. Following that exotic experience, I decided to change course and study Anthropology all the while teaching French as a Second Language on a freelance basis. I moved to the Netherlands just recently and have decided to continue practicing as a French tutor. I have also tutored English classes in France for five years. What? I offer French or FLE (French as a Second Language) courses based on multiple sources and I regularly renew them because it is important to be in adequacy with today's society. As I just started learning Dutch, I teach in English all the while aiming for 90% French during the class. Where? Normally I go to the learner's home. For the moment, online courses are also popular. I have more than 20 years of experience as a French language trainer and have provided language training to more than 20 nationalities. Bonjour, I'm of mixed French and Polish origins and I've been living in Paris for many years. I hold a PhD degree in French Literature from Sorbonne University and I've been teaching French and English since 2013. During my class, you will learn how to communicate effectively - and in order to speak, you'll need to practice! I have a passion for French culture, literature, music, film and theatre, and I believe that it's through culture and experiencing the language directly in everyday life that you really immerse yourself in a language. I train also for exams and DELF/DALF. Apart from this, I work as a tour guide specialised in French medieval architecture and a week-end trip to Paris (sightseeing included!) can be planned during the course to immerse in French language, cinema, food and beautiful Parisian museums. Practicing French in French boulangeries, restaurants and bookshops in Amsterdam can be planned as well. If you're interested in more than practicing speaking and pronunciation skills, we can alternate the grammar/writing classes (held at home) and conversation classes (held anywhere!). My lessons are usually mostly conversational. I think that the best way to learn a language is to fully immerse yourself in it, so I like to just speak French to my students. In case of a lack of understanding, I try to explain words with synonyms that the student might know, or signs, or, as a last resort, I translate them into English. I can also help with French grammar or with learning how to write anything from short texts to long essays.

Hello and welcome ! This class is aimed to teach French to children from 4 to 18 years old. I provide help for your French homework and I can teach you the basis of the French language and culture. In addition, I am a native French, so I can also bring you my experience with the customs and culture of France. Therefore, I can adapt myself in any circumstances, and on the basis of your needs.

My classes are meant for everybody, and are given in English and French (I do not speak Dutch yet). During the first class with a new student, I will assess their language skills and level and follow the agreement. I can also adapt if you have particular requests. The classes will be taking place at my apartment, next to the Rijksmuseum. I can also move around Amsterdam if needed.

As a native speaker, having experience in teaching french and having recently undertaken a training for teaching french as a foreign language, I can easily adapt to each student's level and needs. My classes focus mostly on communication, you will practice and lot. I work with students on original french documents, so they learn step by step vocabulary and grammar but always in a specific context that makes learning funnier and easier !
