As a former primary school teacher and experienced Dutch teacher for adults and children, I enjoy helping others achieve their language goals. As non-Dutch speaking parents, it is certainly not easy to teach your children Dutch or help them become more fluent in the new language. Who wants some extra exercise for their kids? I would like to help you with that. As their vocabulary expands and their sentences become more fluent, your children will become more confident. A good command of the Dutch language is certainly to their advantage, both now and in the future. Do your children need some help with their homework, especially with their Dutch, then I can help with that. Even as non-native-speaking adults, it is sometimes difficult to have enough exercise. That is why adults who want to make progress in speaking the Dutch language are welcome here! We can practice the everyday language together. Conversing is the best way to learn a new language. Anyone want to learn Persian? Then I am here to help you with that. Here too, I mainly work on communication.

I provide lessons for the Nt2 Staatsexamen and Dutch Nationalization exam (Inburgeringexamen)and Business Dutch for ex-pats and people who want to learn everyday Dutch. In the citizenship exam course, students learn about history, geography and basic vocabulary which are the contents of the exam. They learn how to respond to basic questions. Besides preparatory lessons for (Inburgeringexamen ,citizenship exam ,I teach Business Dutch) to expats. Online lessons are delivered through Google meet and Ms Teams and other online platforms. The lessons are conducted online as well as at a location in The Hague Both private and group lessons are available. Hello! I’m Mahmood and I currently live in Gouda (South-Holland). I came to The Netherlands some time ago. As an Expat I know how tough it is to learn a new language, especially the Dutch language with its tough pronunciations and sentence structures. Being an Expat I understand much better what the challenges are that other Expats needs to go through to learn Dutch I am specialized in preparing Expats and other immigrants for the Basic Civil Integration Examination (Basisexamen Inburgering). What can I teach you? : - Read and Write in Dutch - Sound like a Native Speaker - Participate in Basic Conversations and Use Daily Phrases - Understand and Pick Up on Basic Conversations My method of teaching: i) Starting discussion At the start, we will discuss your level and objectives. This way I can efficiently give you the help that you need. ii) Open communication I have an open way of teaching in which I encourage students to keep telling me what their difficulties are or where they would like to improve. In my experience, this saves a lot of time and also makes the lessons more fun. iii) Simplify instead of complicate I am good at listening and understanding why students are having difficulties with certain issues. The thing in which I’m best is explaining complicated things in a simple way.

In our class we will be relaxed, I will help you with the Dutch conversation, the grammar, reading (like an article or a topic what I will give you). I will help students for beginners-lower-intermediate level. After every lesson I will give you homework for the next lesson. I use several methods which are specially conceived to teach Dutch to people who have a different mother tongue. I really like to use methods out of the ordinary like role games or methods with which you learn while playing. All these adapted to the student's situation of course. As I learned myself a couple of other languages, it is easy for me to detect difficulties a student can encounter and adapt the way of learning. I can teach in English, French, German and Russian.
