I have been giving "Chinese language and culture" to schools and colleges for 15 years. Many a student has taken at least one HSK exam (international exam for Chinese level) with me. In addition to language skills, I introduce you to Chinese culture through music, film, food, calligraphy etc.

We will be covering the fundamentals of IMAGEMAKING, TYPOGRAPHY, SHAPE and COLOR and COMPOSITION. I believe that the best way to learn about graphic design is to work HANDS-ON, learn and practice to develop your design skills. Fundamentals of Imagemaking We are going to look at how images function in terms of conveying denotative and connotative messages, I'll show you a range of analog and digital imagemaking techniques and discuss how they work. Fundamentals of Typography We are going to look at typographic terminology and the basic rules for creating typography. I'll show you a range of tips and techniques for working with type, in both a functional and expressive manner, and you'll find out about the process involved in making and controlling typography. Fundamentals of Shape and Color We are going to look at how designers work with shape and color as their fundamental building blocks. You'll learn about visual contrast, color, rhythm and pattern in design. I'll be showing you the process involved in making an abstract design from shapes, and how to use that element to create a repeating pattern design. Fundamentals of Composition We are going to look at how designers work with visual contrasts, cropping, hierarchy and direction in single images and complex compositions. You'll find out how to control and use scale, weight, direction, texture, and space in a composition, and how to compose work that ranges from the complex to the minimal.

DESIGNER: I help you design a simple project. It could be an artistic project, a development, etc. I help you plan your achievement. I help you solve what blocks you when you draw on AutoCAD in 2D. I also have some knowledge of SketchUp but still little experience. I have a good passive knowledge of Revit. This course is especially recommended for neurodivergent children (with Autism Level 1 - Asperger's Syndrome, ADHD, OCD, Dyslexia, Dyscalculia, Hypersensitivity, and Anxiety) with multiple interests who struggle to choose, focus on, and manage various subjects. It helps develop both technique and discipline, enabling them to navigate multiple creative fields—essentially putting their eggs in several baskets while honing the skills necessary for diverse career opportunities in an uncertain job market. The program encourages a generalist mindset, promoting versatility without compromising creative integrity. Students will learn to refine their Zoom In/Zoom Out perspective, gaining the ability to see both the bigger picture and the finer details of any subject. The program's structure guides the individuals through three essential phases: Exploration Phase–Presentations, visual games, and foundational lessons introduce students to various disciplines, helping them discover their interests. Development Phase–They start defining their creative goals, practicing their skills, and trying out various artistic approaches. Disciplines covered include architecture, painting, illustration, concept design (especially for gaming), traditional animation, digital art, children's book illustration, film, creative writing, and music (the art of songwriting). Drawing is a fun activity. It's very interesting to see how the lines take shape as you draw them, and it's also satisfying when you take the finished drawing home. This workshop is aimed at people of all ages, from children to adults who love to draw and want to learn tricks and tips for drawing. You can bring anything you like and would like to draw, whether it's a manga, a photograph, or even the actual object if you can bring it with you. If you don't have anything in particular, we'll look at the materials I've prepared together and I'll give you tips on how to draw! You can draw on paper with a pencil or marker, or if you have a tablet, that's fine too.
