Learn By Doing: Learn how to design and create costumes by making your own.

Making and designing costumes is something many fear to approach, due to the unconventional nature of their making.

As a self-taught costume designer and seamstress with 10 years of experience I believe the best approach to learning is by doing.

Together, we will come up with a design, talk about the different aspects of creating a costume for different purposes, break down the different parts of the design and work on it together - from pattern creation or augmentation to the final costume.

I can teach either on your own sewing machine or mine.

Group Creative Therapy: Story-making for Wellbeing
These online workshops offer opportunity for arrival, expansion and connection through a combination of meditation, movement and story-making exercises. Each workshop lasts 90 minutes and a typical session may include stretching and movement exercises, improvisation games, collaborative storytelling and guided meditation. Each session offers the opportunity for experiencing and practicing grounding (being connected to our present space and time) and offers us connection with our imagination, with our creativity and with the others in our group. Testimonials from past participants: “It feels like Vicky’s created a space that will mould itself to our shapes, rather than us having to find a way to fit in.” “I always leave feeling like it was worthwhile and like we creatively achieved something. Even if it's something small. Very gratifying stuff for quite a short length of time.” “It is really beneficial to have someone facilitating these thought processes in the way that Vicky does. It is evident that Vicky carefully curates these exercises to meet the mood of the 'room'.” “I often come out of the workshops feeling refreshed - a state that is quite hard to attain during this period of lockdown and mundanity.”
