Over my 10 years of teaching experience both privately and through NYC music schools, I have developed a variety of effective and individualized teaching tools that I continually refine. My students range in age from 5-70 years and sing music in a variety of styles including classical, musical theater, pop, and more. I have helped hundreds of singers reach their personal goals which have ranged from matching pitch to winning competitions, getting the leading role in a show or putting together a solo recital to confidently performing at karaoke and achieving their personal best. Please message me if you cannot find a time that works and I will do my best to accommodate you. Skills include: Acting and Text Interpretation Performance and Audition prep Alexander Technique and body awareness Music Theory and Ear Training Movement & Dance (ballet, jazz, contemporary) Italian, French, German language and diction Russian diction Piano Rooted in the classical tradition my focus is on building a solid and healthy vocal technique and applying that to the genre of choice. This will also improve your day to day speaking voice. My experience in dance, Alexander Technique, and acting informs my teaching approach. I include body awareness, character interpretation, and making the music come alive as an integral part of the lessons. If applicable, lessons may also include techniques for audition, competition, and performance preparation as well as beginner piano, reading music, theory and ear training. I love to teach and enjoy helping others achieve their personal singing goals. Everyone has a unique voice and learning style and I tailor my teaching to each individual. I welcome students of all ages and levels and styles of singing and I look forward to helping you sing with ease and joy! I speak with with my students before our first lesson to understand their background, goals, and answer any questions before we begin. For the first lesson, I always ask you bring something you like to sing and then as we progress we decide what repertoire makes the most sense. I start by explaining how the voice works: our body as our instrument. I then introduce individualized technique exercises to fit the student's need. Our work will include breath, resonance, vocal fold closure, vowels, range, and much more. My ultimate goal is to give you tools to build confidence in your practice and reach your personal goals in a fun and supportive environment! About me: Singing and teaching are two of my greatest passions. Well-versed in many vocal genres, I have performed in operas, recitals, musicals, choirs, and competitions internationally including the United States, Europe, and the Middle East. I have a Master of Music in classical vocal performance from the Mannes School of Music and a Bachelor of Music from the University of Michigan. I have studied dance, piano, and Alexander Technique in addition to vocal pedagogy. Inspired by my own incredible teachers, I have always been fascinated with how the voice works and bring positivity, patience, and passion to my teaching.

Singing Lessons (Individual) - Pop, Jazz, Soul, Blues, Rock (Amsterdam)
Stefano
Not just a singing teacher, but by the way also the best vocal coach you can get hold of at this moment and in this area of the Netherlands (so take your chance...;-)). For about 3 years I had a serious problem with my vocal chords (incomplete closure) and a dislocated larynx. I started to be in contact with Stefano by chance asking him to show me some (singing) exercises additionally to my treatment at the ENT-department of Martini Ziekenhuis Groningen as well as an ongoing therapy at a professional trained speech therapist. To cut a long story short: Within a couple of lessons and dedicated exercises he succeeded in re-positioning my larynx and got rid of my incomplete vocal cords closure, meanwhile the medical specialists had decided that the only cure could possibly be an operation... As a ‘side-effect’ I am now able to sing and control my voice like I have never been able before and could never have imagined that this was possible to achieve by just some simple but individually chosen exercises and practice. Grazie!

CTCSOL Certified Teacher_Learn Chinese Language&Culture in a systematic and fun way (Rotterdam)
Shan
I was thinking, that learning Chinese is extremely difficult, however, thanks to Shan,  this language becomes more and more clear for me. Every lesson is very productive and I feel, that I progress fast! Today, there are numerous teachers, who can teach you Chinese. However, only a few of them can make the educational process so interesting and enjoyable. Luckily for me, Shan is one of them and I am very happy, that I found her. Shan is very precise and corrects every my mistake. She can easily explain how to properly pronounce words with different tones, how to write syllables, the grammar and many more. I like, that with her, I am not just memorising Chinese language, but I do really understand it. Overall, without a doubt, I can say, that Shan is a great teacher! 心💕
