Then, you will play online games at too fast a pace while you do not master the main general principles. You thus develop bad reflexes because you constantly repeat the same mistakes without even realizing it, which causes your level to quickly stagnate. Then, you make a game report which tells you that you played with 80% accuracy but nevertheless you lost and you do not necessarily understand the main reasons. And finally, you watch the game with an analysis module which offers you good moves but does not provide you with the explanations necessary to fully understand them. Some teachers also offer group lessons with a monthly subscription which can help you progress slightly, but what you need is a truly personalized lesson. Taking private lessons will save you a lot of time because I know the methods that work to progress and quickly be more competitive. I've had 2 lessons with Prashil and they have been incredibly interesting. He explained all the pieces and the board in a concise and comprehensible manner. He has a great sense of humour which adds well to his teaching methods as well as making it more fun. We even lost track of time at one point because we were both so concentrated on the game. Overall he's an excellent teacher and I'm excited to continue the lessons.
