My name is Hélène. I have lived abroad for over 25 years: in Great Britain where I taught French, then in Belgium where I worked on different projects with the European institutions, and finally in Italy for 20 years where I was called upon to teach Frech to Foreigners at the University of Turin and where, at the same time, I directed cultural projects related to Francophone litterature in an institution called il Circolo dei Lettori. My way of teaching French as a Foreign Language is different from formalised learning processes, it is pragmatic, progressive and tailor-made. Why? First of all, because, before I became a teacher, I have been confronted to learning other languages: English, then Spanish, Portuguese and finally Italian. I have thus understood what is useful, mainly what is not, to enter another language, what gives the satisfaction of rapid progress in speaking, understanding, and writing... without approaches that are too often useless, time-consuming and costly for an unsatisfactory results. The FLE tuition, that is to say French as a Foreign Language, is intended for those who wish to learn French in order to be able to live in French-speaking environnement. However, it can also be of grat help for children/teens who do not have the grammatical fundamentals in order to be better at school. I was thinking, that learning Chinese is extremely difficult, however, thanks to Shan,  this language becomes more and more clear for me. Every lesson is very productive and I feel, that I progress fast! Today, there are numerous teachers, who can teach you Chinese. However, only a few of them can make the educational process so interesting and enjoyable. Luckily for me, Shan is one of them and I am very happy, that I found her. Shan is very precise and corrects every my mistake. She can easily explain how to properly pronounce words with different tones, how to write syllables, the grammar and many more. I like, that with her, I am not just memorising Chinese language, but I do really understand it. Overall, without a doubt, I can say, that Shan is a great teacher! 心💕
