Through various techniques I help you to feel and understand your own voice. Often singing becomes easy when you apply the right breathing technique. Posture is also important (this is sometimes underestimated). I can see when there is tension in your throat or in your body. I zoom in on this during the lesson. And I correct that. During the first lesson I listen carefully to your voice and to your goals and ideas. Based on that I create a tailor-made lesson that serves your goals. Do you not have any goals yet? Then we will look for them together! Maybe you really want to sing this one song? I do this too!: I have a home studio where I can record your voice. You can use this as a demo. I also have experience with producing music. I would like to teach you the basics of producing and what you need for it. Through various techniques, I help you feel and understand your own voice. In this ESOL class, I will be preparing students for the Life in the UK test, which is a requirement for those seeking British citizenship or settlement. The class will begin with an overview of the test format, including the types of questions and topics covered. The curriculum will be structured around the key content areas of the test, such as British history, traditions, customs, and the political system. Each lesson will focus on a specific topic, with interactive activities designed to help students understand and retain the information. For example, a lesson on British history might include a timeline exercise, where students match significant events with their corresponding dates and discuss their importance. To enhance understanding and engagement, I will use a variety of teaching methods, including group discussions, multimedia presentations, and role-playing scenarios. These activities not only make the learning process enjoyable but also help students develop their speaking and listening skills, which are crucial for the test. Additionally, the class will include practice tests and quizzes to assess students' progress and identify areas where they may need further support. I will provide tips and strategies for effective test-taking, such as time management and how to handle multiple-choice questions. Throughout the course, I will create a supportive and inclusive learning environment, encouraging students to ask questions and share their experiences. By the end of the class, students will feel confident and well-prepared to take the Life in the UK test, with a deeper understanding of British culture and society.

Dutch (language, vocabulary, literature, reading, homework support, reading comprehension, help with thesis or dissertation, NT-2) (Amsterdam)
Janet
I'm extremely happy and thankful, that Janet accepted to be the Dutch tutor for my 10 year old daughter. We have been to the Netherlands for less than 2 years, and my kid needed some support to improve her language skills. On our first day, Janet welcomed us warmly and professionally. She inquired about our situations and the reasons for the Dutch lessons. At the end of the first lesson, my daughter was excited... Even so that our next lesson is scheduled during the school break period :)

Eli
Eli is a fantastic tutor who I highly recommend. She guided my daughter through her highschool math and was always there if questions arose. She really knows her math and is an excellent pedagogue, very good at explaining. She is accommodating when it comes to scheduling and can suggest what your child needs in order to do well with their studies. We tried several tutors in different subjects, but Eli was the only one we stuck with and our daughter really liked her.
