Trusted teacher: I offer comprehensive Maths lessons, and since 2018, I have been tutoring 20/40 students on a weekly basis. Additionally, I have been teaching Maths at the International School of The Hague since 2019. In 2022, I established my tutoring academy (Thehaguemaths), where I provide both group classes and personalized 1-on-1 lessons. Throughout my academic journey, I have devoted a significant amount of time to assisting fellow students and children (up to Graduate level) in mastering both basic and advanced mathematics as well as physics. My tutoring experience includes working with students from the International School of The Hague and the British school, covering various curricula like IB, EB, British (GCSE, O-level, A-level). My educational background consists of a BSc degree in double Maths and Physics, and I hold an MSc in Mathematics with an impressive CGPA of 3.91 out of 4.0. Following my studies, I briefly ran a tutoring academy before relocating to The Netherlands. In my teaching approach, I don't follow standard programs or lessons. Instead, I tailor each lesson to cater to the individual needs and interests of my students. If necessary, I provide exercises for practice at home and offer supplementary notes related to the lesson. My main focus is to instill confidence in my students, showing them that they are capable of solving problems and making the learning process enjoyable and engaging. I believe that when students see the fun and rewarding aspects of mathematics, they become more motivated to excel in their studies.

Trusted teacher: I am a professional freelancer violinist, based in The Netherlands, passionate in my job as a teacher and as a performer. In terms of education, I have the Degree in Classical Violin and three masters in violin playing, from Katarina Gurska (Madrid, Spain), Prince Claus Conservatory (Groningen, Netherlands) and The Hague Royal Conservatory (The Hague, Netherlands), Throughout my whole education I have always chosen teaching electives and internships. Have you always wanted to play the violin? Or maybe your child is into music and would love to learn to play an instrument? Then, this might be a great opportunity for you to fulfill that desire. If on the contrary you are an advanced student, I would love to help you build solid technique and support your own musicality. On the other hand, I do love all kinds of music. I am happy to work with you in Pop or Folk songs for example. I did play many years in Pop and Folk bands and groups when I was living in Spain and have quite some experience in teaching this music as well. If you would like to, any song can be arranged and played on the violin. I love meeting new students and helping them through their journey with the instrument. Every individual has different needs and goals and as a teacher I work together with every student, giving them the tools, knowledge and support they need to reach those goals. Making music and learning how to do it should be always a enjoyable process. Fortunately, when you like music and have a supportive and experienced teacher, helping you out and giving you the tools you need in every moment, that joy and stress-free music-making comes easily. I have 10 years of experience teaching private lessons to different ages and levels and several years of teaching internships during my studies. Trusted teacher: Hello! I am a 29 years old classical pianist with a Master's degree at the Koninklijk Conservatorium Den Haag. I have taught Piano (and also Music Education) since 2016, to both children and adults. Teaching allows me to bring my passion and enthusiasm for music to the students, and I also find it incredibly rewarding to guide and follow their musical and technical development! I am easily adaptable to the student's musical tastes and expectations/goals in music learning, and I am also very mindful of how I communicate, according to the students' ages and personalities. I can teach classical music, pop, rock, or any other style. My approach consists of giving you the necessary theoretical knowledge for what you wish to play; involving you actively in the choice of the pieces/songs you will play; setting up a long-term plan for your repertoire, so that your development is made step by step in a challenging - but achievable - way (and this way, you will feel more motivated!); giving you enjoyable and creative practicing strategies; creating rich imagery revolving around the piece - by making up a story, relating the music to emotions, etc.; and also positive feedback! Thus, my lessons will allow you to: - Learn how to read scores. -Develop your musical understanding (from notes, rhythm, and harmony, to musical taste, and emotional comprehension of the music, or dive into aesthetic principles concerning the period and style of the piece,...). -Improve, step by step, until you are able to play that piece/song that you love. -Prepare yourself for exams. -Etc. Furthermore, I organize Students' Concerts, giving you the chance to play in a fantastic grand piano, and sharing with others all the work you've done! The best thing is that it's possible for you to learn all this and have fun at the same time! Any questions, don't hesitate to contact me.

Trusted teacher: Experimentation is an inherent characteristic of electronic music. Nowadays, composing music using technology creates endless creative possibilities that demand the musician/composer to adapt to numerous technical and artistic challenges. Do you like experimenting with sound and making music that does not clearly belong to a particular genre or style? Interested in bringing a fresh perspective and out-of-the-box thinking to your music production? Are you just starting out in electronic music composition and wondering how to develop your own style? This course is just what you need. In this class, you will learn: - how to transform sound using analogue and digital techniques. - how to create sound structures and organise them in a DAW enviroment to compose a piece of music. - how to record, edit and mix sounds using both conventional and experimental techniques. - how to use improvisation in both the context of live performance and composition. - about the theory and practice of free improvisation. - about the history and origins of electronic music and how it affected the music we listen today. - how to document and communicate procedures related to your artistic practice. - how to create an artistic portfolio. Aspiring musicians with a background in any genre can take advantage of this course. A formal education in music or experience with electronic music composition are not required to follow. However, you should be unafraid of experimenting with sound and music technology! Each class is customized to meet the needs of the individual student in an innovative and flexible way! The course can also serve as a preparation for applying to several Dutch educational programmes related to electronic music composition (Institute of Sonology, HKU, ArtEZ, etc.). The class is focused on small assignments that help the student develop a sense of orientation and set goals. Recording, editing, and mixing will be done via the DAW "Reaper," but we can switch to your preferred software at any time. We will use the first lesson to discuss your background, interests, and motivations in order to develop a course structure that is tailored to your needs.

Experimental electronic music composition / Free improvisation (theory & practice) (Rotterdam)
Yannis
We just have started to work with Yannis, but I am really happy about how we progress and feel inspired and looking forward to future lectures. Yannis teaches me to develop a vision on how to approach working with sound, while recording, processing and using it in electronic composition. I would say he is opening my mind in a way toward the analysing a character of sound as a compositional element. I like that lessons are not only just about a particular technique (and there are so many to learn from Yannis), but about developing a workflow and a mindset. Examples from historical electronic pieces to listen and analyse from legendary electroacoustic composers are really inspirational. After each lesson there is a home task and in the following lecture there is an analysis of the results and based on that Yannis gives lessons on what needs to be changed, improved, pay attention to etc, in order to develop compositional skills. I highly recommend Yannis as a teacher, if you are into modern experimental electroacoustic composition and improvisation.

Group tutoring Math classes for all education levels (GCSE,O/A-level, IB MYP/DP, etc) (The Hague)
Sobia
After many months of lessons I can say that Sobia has excellent experience in teaching & tutoring and above all has a human approach to tutoring my daughter which I think is very important. She understands that the tutoring is as much about rebuilding my daughter’s confidence, as it is about teaching her how to do math. She is also punctual, capable and reliable. And the proof of the pudding is in the eating, my daughter’s Math scores have significantly improved over the months, she is now much more comfortable with the subject and able do the work, no more panic and tears!! These things take time, it’s not overnight, but Sobia was there for my daughter and made it happen. We are so grateful!!

Russian language for English speakers: grammar, reading, speaking, writing (The Hague)
Arzu
Arzu's lessons were very personalized. She takes the time to asses the level of which her student (me) is at and goes from there. She has been very open to answering any question I may come up with in between lessons and explains it in a way that is easy to understand by explaining the rules followed by example the student (me) can relate in order to get a better grasp of the language.
