As a docent or vocal coach I've collaborate with different academic institutions and private artistic projects, focusing mostly on international students or social integration programs. I have years of experience teaching children, teenagers and adults in both Latin-America and Europe, therefore understanding different appreciation levels and needs. First, as a Math Teacher, my main aim is to encourage students to analyze the problem carefully and find different solutions for one question. This method helps students to choose the easiest way of solution for her/him during the exam and finish it in time. I teach students both ways how to solve questions without a calculator with math tricks, and how to use a calculator more effectively. As you know in the exam there might be non-calculator and calculator papers. Moreover, this ability helps students not only to understand the math subject deeply but also will be very helpful during their adult life. As a Math High-Level and Standard-Level (AA, AI) teacher in IBDP (International Baccalaureate Diploma Program) the part of my teaching also consisted of supervising students’ research projects. Previous research experience in the frame of UNDP (UN Development Program) by that time was very valuable. Being an IB Math Examiner helped me to see the clear picture of students' mistakes done during the solutions. So, I teach students how to show their solutions to get more marks on the exam. Working with British School during this hard time of COVID taught me to be prepared for any challenges, to make decisions in a very short time, to be ready for any daily but very important changes. Teaching online became more interesting by using such helpful math tools as Desmos, GeoGebra, TI 84 Calculator Online, etc. Having teaching experience (Math and Statistics) in one of the top universities of the US (UW-Madison) helped me clearly to see the path of a student from the school bench to the university auditorium. Only by working in both school and university, you can understand what is better to learn for a student to be helpful in the future university years. Great teacher! I started acoustic guitar lessons from zero and I have learned so much with Sergio, he is an excellent teacher, very knowledgeable and patient, he also encourage you to keep practicing to achieve your goals while providing you with very useful material to do it. I really recommend Sergio as a music teacher, he plays a lot of instruments. Excelente profesor, yo empecé clases de guitarra acústica desde cero y he aprendido mucho con Sergio, sabe mucho y es muy paciente, además te anima a seguir practicando para que alcances tus metas y te provee muy buen material para lograrlo. Súper recomiendo a Sergio como profesor de música, sabe tocar muchos instrumentos.

She carefully researched needs of my daughter and prepared a worksheet based on her gaps and progress. This is really professional approach. Moreover her explanations are clear and easy understandable. For some questions she showed even 2 or 3 solutions. My daughter is very happy with math lessons of Leila.
