A LIVING METHOD Whether you are a beginner or more advanced, I will help you progress in Latin or ancient Greek, which you will learn as a living language: it will not be primarily a question of translating Latin or Greek, but above all of speaking it, reading it, writing it! FORGET YOUR DICTIONARY By doing so, you will memorize vocabulary and grammatical structures much more easily than with the classic method based essentially on translation. You will no longer spend your life in the dictionary, and eventually, you will read your favorite authors like an open book! LATIN I essentially offer a living Latin course based on the Orberg method, acclaimed by thousands of Latinists around the world. Whether you are a beginner or more advanced, I can accompany you on the chapters corresponding to your level of Familia Romana (first volume) or Roma Aeterna (second volume). It is therefore important that you get this book. If you want to work on Familia Romana, I also highly recommend that you purchase the Vivarium Novum workbook to consolidate your learning: volume I for chapters I to XIX, volume II for chapters XX to XXXIV. GREEK For Greek, we will use the Logos method. It will be up to the student to obtain a copy of this manual. A LA CARTE COURSES However, I am attentive to pupils and students who are waiting for more conventional methods, particularly in the context of preparing for the baccalaureate, the competitive examinations for the grandes écoles, or even the agrégation. Version, theme, explanation of an old text: all these exercises are well known to me for having practiced them for many years. It is also possible to build a course based on your desires (excluding erotic texts and magic manuals). Do you want to follow one method rather than another? Discover a particular author? Tell me! Be careful, however, to remain realistic! We do not tackle Xenophon or Titus Livius without a solid level. Do not hesitate to contact me for any request. NB: I do not offer translation services, and even less for tattoos. Thank you for your understanding.

In the CIE (Cambridge International) curriculum, Biochemistry is primarily covered in Biology and partially in Chemistry at both IGCSE and AS/A Level. It focuses on the chemical processes and molecules essential for life. Here's a detailed overview: IGCSE Biology (0610/0970) Biochemistry at the IGCSE level introduces students to basic biological molecules and processes: 1. Biological Molecules - Carbohydrates: - Monosaccharides (e.g., glucose), disaccharides (e.g., sucrose), and polysaccharides (e.g., starch, glycogen). - Role in energy storage and release. - Proteins: - Made up of amino acids. - Functions: enzymes, structural components (e.g., keratin), and hormones. - Lipids: - Fats and oils: composed of fatty acids and glycerol. - Role in energy storage, insulation, and cell membranes. 2. Enzymes - Biological catalysts that speed up reactions. - Factors affecting enzyme activity: temperature, pH, and substrate concentration. 3. Photosynthesis - Biochemical process in plants to produce glucose using light energy, carbon dioxide, and water. - Equation: 6CO2 + 6H2O → C6H12O6 + 6O2. 4. Respiration - Aerobic respiration: Glucose + Oxygen → Carbon dioxide + Water + Energy (ATP). - Anaerobic respiration in humans: Glucose → Lactic acid + Energy. 5. DNA and Protein Synthesis (Basic level) - DNA as the molecule of inheritance. - Role of DNA in carrying genetic information. --- CIE AS and A Level Biology (9700) At the AS/A Level, biochemistry is studied in depth. Key areas include: 1. Biological Molecules - Carbohydrates: Structure and function of monosaccharides, disaccharides (e.g., maltose), and polysaccharides (e.g., starch, glycogen, cellulose). - Lipids: Triglycerides, phospholipids, and cholesterol. Role in membranes and energy storage. - Proteins: - Levels of structure: primary, secondary, tertiary, and quaternary. - Role of proteins in enzymes, antibodies, and transport (e.g., hemoglobin). - Nucleic Acids: - Structure of DNA and RNA. - Role of nucleic acids in protein synthesis. 2. Enzymes - Enzyme structure and mode of action (lock-and-key, induced fit). - Enzyme kinetics and factors affecting enzyme activity. - Competitive and non-competitive inhibitors. 3. Cellular Respiration - Glycolysis, Krebs cycle, and oxidative phosphorylation. - ATP production and its importance as an energy currency. 4. Photosynthesis - Light-dependent and light-independent (Calvin cycle) reactions. - Factors affecting photosynthesis. 5. Molecular Biology - DNA replication, transcription, and translation. - Role of mRNA, tRNA, and ribosomes in protein synthesis. 6. Biochemical Processes in Cells - Role of ATP in metabolism. - Metabolic pathways and enzyme regulation. --- CIE AS and A Level Chemistry (9701) While biochemistry is primarily a biology topic, it also features in chemistry at A Level: 1. Amino Acids and Proteins - Structure of amino acids and peptide bonds. - Protein hydrolysis and analysis. 2. Carbohydrates - Structure of glucose and its isomers. - Reactions of carbohydrates (e.g., oxidation). 3. Lipids - Structure of triglycerides, fatty acids, and phospholipids. - Saponification and ester formation. 4. Biochemical Techniques - Chromatography for separating amino acids and sugars. - Use of enzymes as biological catalysts in industrial processes. --- Summary - At the IGCSE level, biochemistry focuses on basic biomolecules (carbohydrates, proteins, lipids), enzymes, photosynthesis, and respiration. - At the AS/A Level, biochemistry delves deeper into molecular biology, enzyme kinetics, ATP production, protein synthesis, and metabolism.

Trusted teacher: It is a question of putting in place rational and professional tools to defuse conflicts and enter your comfort / security zone. In particular simple and logical techniques, which make it possible to resolve and manage violent situations in a harmonious, efficient and lasting way. The objectives are: 0. Understand and identify the issues / risks then find a balance between empathy and conviction 1. Use interpersonal communication techniques resulting from mediation to defuse tensions and gain distance 2. Dissociate the relational and the nature of the disagreement - Overcome cognitive and psychological obstacles 3. Acquire the techniques of self-defense and mastery without hurting and being injured 4. Face and then defuse difficult behaviors (blackmail attempts, threats, destabilization) or even dangerous with a mediation strategy 5. Develop conflict management and negotiation skills by alternating attentive listening, active speaking and rationality in the face of the limited rationality of the angry individual. Statistically, the progression following these private sessions is quickly noticeable, from 2 or 3 sessions *. (* study 2020) Postgraduate School Training & Ivy league college in the United States, our teacher has specialized and worked for over 13 years, in Europe and North America, in the field of communication and public speaking in renowned public and private international institutions, involved in forums and conferences, and focused on two areas: training and coaching, with the key words pedagogy and careful methodology. PLACES : - Locations: Geneva-Lausanne-Friborg-Neuchâtel-Montreux-Bâle-Sion-Sierre-Morges-Bienne. But currently, only by videoconference in accordance with national recommendations on Covid. These sessions also seem to be perfectly unanimous since they have the advantages of direct (example: quality of the interaction), without its disadvantages (ex: loss of travel time), with additional advantages (ex: of notes on the chat, which can be reread afterwards). In this context, these videoconference sessions for which you have requested me, seem to arouse a certain enthusiasm (and a certain enthusiasm). At your request, I therefore continue to offer them.

Singing lessons with an italian lyric-coloratura soprano. From opera to modern and pop. (Masters degree in singing with honours, cum Laude)
Georgia
As someone who loves singing it was very helpful in the very first lesson to begin to understand the muscles I need to use and the "spaces" I need to create to stabilise and improve my sound. I also felt she responded well to each question I raised, or issue she heard in the way I did the excercises. I look forward to future lessons.
