Trusted teacher: As a highly qualified maths teacher, a graduate of the college of teachers and with 11 years of teaching experience in public high schools, I am happy to offer tutoring lessons in mathematics at home for students from level T and Common Core Sciences, TC Technological, 1st Baccalaureate Experimental Sciences and final of all the sectors (SVT-PC-SC.Math-L), as well as for the classes of 2nd and 1st general, Terminale specialty of the French system, as well than the 5th, 4th and 3rd levels of college. My primary objective is to help students improve their level, deepen their knowledge, assimilate their lessons, fill their gaps and improve their skills in the discipline of mathematics. In addition, I am perfectly able to support them in the preparation of their exams and competitions for access to the Grandes Ecoles, and to provide them with homework help so that they can succeed in this subject. With my advanced math skills and knowledge, I am confident that I can provide my students with effective tools and techniques to help them progress. My goal is to give them confidence and help them develop a passion for mathematics, a subject that can seem daunting at first, but can be exciting and rewarding if taught in an interesting and fun way. While I am passionate about my subjects, I understand that not everyone is ecstatic about studying. There's no point teaching simultaneous equations to a struggling student if it isn't on the GCSE Maths Foundation syllabus! Depending on grade that the student is aiming for/predicted I will: ●spend the first lesson with students going through their exam board syllabus, make it explicit what content is the core of the course content and structure lessons in descending importance ● (for higher level students) spend the first lesson with students going through their exam board syllabus, identify the weakest links and structure lessons in ascending order of skill I believe in spaced repetition so revisiting topics taught before is a must! This will manifest in the form of: ●surprise questions during the first 10 minutes of lessons ●helping prepare and working through past papers when it comes closer to exam time to encourage active recall. During normal lessons, there will be a mix of: ●theoretical teaching ●helping the student digest, understand and store useful information that has been presented ●visual aspects (diagrams) In order for students to efficiently absorb knowledge, I will teach one core topic per lesson. Top Tip if you want to get the most from me: Ask questions! I aim to have a friendly environment in lessons, I am not your teacher - I am your helper!

Carlos is an amazing teacher! I have learned more studying with him in a few months then I have learned in a year with other teachers. He is patient, knowledgeable and organized. We have good conversations and he really knows how to activate the language and give confidence to his students. For more basic students like myself it's very useful that he can speak other languages so well, although we use mostly Spanish in our lessons. He is simply the best! I highly recommend Carlos as a teacher!
