Alle teksten benader ik dus vanuit een creatieve insteek en artistieke visie. Als theaterauteur houd ik me ook bezig met hoe een tekst klinkt - klinkt het niet prettig, dan kan hij vast beter geschreven worden. Als coach richt ik me vooral op het geven van feedback op de teksten die je schrijft en help ik je graag op weg met opdrachten om te beginnen met schrijven en/of om het gevreesde writersblock af te schudden. Next to the private students I had, I also gained experience in teaching at the Muziekacademie of Zaventem where I was piano teacher during my studies. I give private lessons at my home in Meise on a grand yamaha piano. It’s also possible to give lesson on location (+ extra charge) or online lessons. I recommend lessons of 1 hour or more, but a short lesson of 30 minutes would also be possible (for beginners). The lessons are given in Dutch, French or English. Currently I am doing my Masters in Semiconductors and Microelectronics, and I have already obtained a MS in General Physics from Universite Paris-Saclay. During my high-school I was an Olympiad math competitor and I was regularly representing my country in international competitions. I studied at a specialized math school, and I am very used to giving lectures and math classes. I have taught at an elementary school, and my approach to teaching is giving time to my students to work through problems, discussing with them how to tackle them, and generally instilling courage and confidence in their abilities. Too many times I have seen children which are good at thinking, but feel intimated by math, mainly due to the formal nature in which it is taught in high school. I try to break that by giving analogies when explaining concepts and supporting students while they solve problems, instead of showing them solutions and teaching them rote methods. I love to work with both advanced students, to whom I give more advanced problems, challenging them but also guiding them, and with students who are struggling, because I believe they are indeed capable, but maybe missing confidence, or have been scared from the subject through experience. I come from a family of teachers - my grandmother is a Math teacher (still working at the age of 77!), and my mother is an English teacher. Thus, one could say that teaching is part of my family. ;)

First of all: Caterina is less serieus than she looks on her profile picture ;). She has a very kind and patient approach to the lesson, and I believe has the capacity to motivate and get the best out of the student, regardless their age or level of playing. On the technical side, I only had a few lessons so far, but already received recommendations and exercices which hit the nail, allowing me to improve my playing. The selected pieces are elaborated into detail. Good teacher for me and I'm sure for other ages/level of playing as well. So in case of doubt, don't doubt.

Cigdem is a great teacher who takes the time to integrate learnings with real-life discussions. For example, we spend 10 minutes at the start of each lesson and throughout the course of the lesson an extra 15-20 minutes having a chat about subjects including work and life in order to be able to apply all the theoretical learnings to the actual language.

Great lessons. Very motivated teacher, encouraging, and very patient :-), and he teaches the basis also, so we can really go pro. I love it and my son loves it, too (so happy he wants to learn to play drums, and that is for a big part, thanks to Stephan).
