Because you are looking left and right for information, advice and books to read but you are getting scattered. You constantly watch chess videos on the Internet which are entertaining but it is too passive an activity which does not really make you study chess in depth. Then you will play online games at too fast a pace while you do not master the general principles. In fact, you have developed bad reflexes because you keep repeating the same mistakes without even realizing it, which is why your level quickly stagnates. When you analyze your games, click on the 20th move and you will realize that often your game is already badly engaged. You often manage your time badly, you play too fast when it is important to choose the right voice and you hesitate too long in positions where the moves are obvious. Then, you make a game report which tells you that you played with 80% accuracy but nevertheless you lost and you do not necessarily understand the main reasons. And finally, you watch the game with an analysis module which offers you good moves but does not provide you with the explanations necessary to fully understand them. Some teachers also offer group lessons with a monthly subscription which can help you progress slightly, but what you need is a truly personalized lesson. One decides to take 3 hours of lessons per week and the other 4 hours. 1 year later, there are 2000 of them on the same site! ➤ September 2021, a 35-year-old student returns to chess competitions after a 20-year hiatus. With 1 hour of lessons per week, it goes from 1350 to 1650 after only 10 hours of lessons! ➤ September 2021, a 23-year-old student decides to take 3 hours of lessons per week at 1600 on Chesscom. After a year of lessons he reached 2380 in 15 minute games! ➤ July 2022, a 30-year-old student decides to take 2 hours of lessons per week, he is then 800 on Chesscom.
