My students range in age from 5-70 years and sing music in a variety of styles including classical, musical theater, pop, and more. I have helped hundreds of singers reach their personal goals which have ranged from matching pitch to winning competitions, getting the leading role in a show or putting together a solo recital to confidently performing at karaoke and achieving their personal best. Please message me if you cannot find a time that works and I will do my best to accommodate you. Skills include: Acting and Text Interpretation Performance and Audition prep Alexander Technique and body awareness Music Theory and Ear Training Movement & Dance (ballet, jazz, contemporary) Italian, French, German language and diction Russian diction Piano Rooted in the classical tradition my focus is on building a solid and healthy vocal technique and applying that to the genre of choice. This will also improve your day to day speaking voice. My experience in dance, Alexander Technique, and acting informs my teaching approach. I include body awareness, character interpretation, and making the music come alive as an integral part of the lessons. If applicable, lessons may also include techniques for audition, competition, and performance preparation as well as beginner piano, reading music, theory and ear training. I love to teach and enjoy helping others achieve their personal singing goals. Everyone has a unique voice and learning style and I tailor my teaching to each individual. I welcome students of all ages and levels and styles of singing and I look forward to helping you sing with ease and joy! I speak with with my students before our first lesson to understand their background, goals, and answer any questions before we begin. For the first lesson, I always ask you bring something you like to sing and then as we progress we decide what repertoire makes the most sense. I start by explaining how the voice works: our body as our instrument. I then introduce individualized technique exercises to fit the student's need. Our work will include breath, resonance, vocal fold closure, vowels, range, and much more. My ultimate goal is to give you tools to build confidence in your practice and reach your personal goals in a fun and supportive environment! About me: Singing and teaching are two of my greatest passions. Well-versed in many vocal genres, I have performed in operas, recitals, musicals, choirs, and competitions internationally including the United States, Europe, and the Middle East. I have a Master of Music in classical vocal performance from the Mannes School of Music and a Bachelor of Music from the University of Michigan. I have studied dance, piano, and Alexander Technique in addition to vocal pedagogy. Inspired by my own incredible teachers, I have always been fascinated with how the voice works and bring positivity, patience, and passion to my teaching.

Trusted teacher: • What is the role of a school coach? As a professional, support young people between 12 and 25 years old, in their personal and more particularly school career, when they want to make a change. • So, if the topics covered are orientation, motivation, self-confidence and working methods, it will be all about defining an objective and defining the steps to achieve it, based on tools and specific methods, a neutral and benevolent position and its very specific questions. • It is therefore a question of seeing more clearly, decoding and analyzing in order to manage what is blocking, to learn to go beyond one's limits independently, by relying on internal and external resources and by determining the steps to achieve this. his rhythm. • If the work of the coach with the parents consists in better accompanying them to understand and support their children in their generation, the work of the coach with the young person is different: By listening as well as the tools / suggestions proposed as well as the attention given to the emotions experienced, it is a question of reinforcing his motivation to get involved in his role, to develop the desired skills, in line with his professional project, through the recognition and valuation of his own talents. Thus, it is a question of acquiring and then deploying pragmatic tools and methods in order to: • Support young people with high potential and / or hypersensitivity • Know yourself better (values, desires, needs, motivations, talents, etc.) • Gain awareness and esteem • Pass exams • Better manage stress and emotions related to exams and gain self-confidence • Better manage your workload, projects, time and priorities • Prepare for exams, optimize your organization, find your creative levers • Improve your relationship with others, your communication, team spirit • Dare to assert oneself while respecting one's values • Build and realize your professional project • Overcome your difficulties, your potential and become aware of the opportunities that may be offered. • Integrate didactic learning skills and self-knowledge, in addition to skills and coaching tools • Support young people on different themes such as social integration, relationship with oneself and with others, the meaning of learning, organization, orientation choices, construction of a project Statistically, the progression following these private sessions is quickly noticeable, from 2 sessions*. CTCSOL Certified Teacher_Learn Chinese Language&Culture in a systematic and fun way (Rotterdam)
Shan
I was thinking, that learning Chinese is extremely difficult, however, thanks to Shan,  this language becomes more and more clear for me. Every lesson is very productive and I feel, that I progress fast! Today, there are numerous teachers, who can teach you Chinese. However, only a few of them can make the educational process so interesting and enjoyable. Luckily for me, Shan is one of them and I am very happy, that I found her. Shan is very precise and corrects every my mistake. She can easily explain how to properly pronounce words with different tones, how to write syllables, the grammar and many more. I like, that with her, I am not just memorising Chinese language, but I do really understand it. Overall, without a doubt, I can say, that Shan is a great teacher! 心💕
