Trusted teacher: Hello, I'm Stacie! I'm a qualified pianist and piano teacher in Singapore. Having learned the piano since the age of 5, I cultivated a strong sense of interest and passion in music, obtaining my ABRSM Grade 8 Piano practical certificate before finishing my secondary education. I also hold an ABRSM Grade 8 Music Theory. To improve myself as a performer and to acquire in-depth knowledge about music and piano playing, I have gone on to obtain my ABRSM Diploma (DipABRSM) in piano performance as well as LCM Diploma (DipLCM) in piano performance. I am also currently pursuing for my LRSM Diploma under ABRSM to further hone my skills in piano playing. Aside from solo piano playing, I enjoy performing with other musicians such as playing piano accompaniment for choirs and instrumentalists. I also perform regularly as a choral singer in concert halls. I'm an all-rounded teacher who is able to teach reading music notation, piano techniques, sight-reading, aural skills, music theory, and different styles of music in an engaging and effective way that will suit you or your children's needs. I have 4 years of teaching experience with private students from 3 years old to adults for both graded examinations and leisure piano. I have also taught for 1 year at Cristofori Music School. To date, most of my students have obtained distinctions in their ABRSM exam within 1 year of learning under me. I also strive to cultivate an interest and passion for music through incorporating pieces and songs that students enjoy as well as performance opportunities and competitions into the learning experience.

Trusted teacher: My goal as a music teacher is to make the students able to experience all types of emotions by playing music, understanding the musical process from its roots with a creative approach. My lessons are designed according to the specific needs of each student and the main objective is to guide them in the optimal direction to achieve their full potential in a fun way. Thereby, the instrument becomes a tool to understand what making music really means and will be a way for the student to express his emotions. My approach to the lessons can provide a lot of creativity, fun and originality. How will my lessons look like From the first lesson, the student will start making music. We will begin learning the basic concepts of music, developing listening and rhythmic skills with fun exercises. Lessons will also be focused on learning the basics of music theory, creating a solid technical base and paying special attention to having a relaxed and healthy body posture. My academic and professional experience has helped me create a teaching method where improvisation is an essential tool for the student. I enjoy working on it from the beginning since it is a perfect way to develop musicality. Playing different music genres together As a musician, another of my sources of inspiration is to get to know and to learn from different styles, playing and experimenting with music from the classical period until the most avant-garde style. During the lessons, we will play pop, jazz, classical and many other styles. I would like to explore the instrument with the student in a fun way, growing, improving, and discovering new ways of making music together. During the lessons the students and I could play together, either playing some duos with the cello or accompanying them with the piano, which is an activity that I really enjoy. Playing together with more people and with a polyphonic instrument from the beginning will give the student clues to learn how to play in ensembles and listen to all the different voices that can be part of any musical composition.

Luisa
Luisa is a great teacher who takes her time and explains things very thoroughly. She does not waste time, on the contrary, she teaches a lot in a small time, but also with a lot of patience and comprehension. My brain is still boiling, but I'll go for the boiling brain rather than a bored brain. Thank you Luisa.

Cristinela
Cistinela is a passionate and enthusiastic teacher. She had material prepared for our first lesson but as I had a lot of specific questions, she provided detailed answers and we took it from there. Satisfied with our first class, I got what I wanted from it.

Samantha
I had a fantastic experience learning from Samantha. As an intermediate player I wasn‘t sure if lessons were what I needed, but was absolutely proved wrong by Samantha’s expertise and precious insights. Can’t wait to go back!
