Trusted teacher: Piano lessons in Jazz, Classical, or Modern styles; depending on the student's interest, we can mix a bit of everything or delve deep into one style. Main focus applied to overcome the problem of piano: mastering two-handed rhythm. To achieve this, I teach left-hand grooves and foundations while working on improvisation, harmony, melodies, accompaniments, and everything there is to play with the right hand. I introduce piano techniques such as walking bass, tenths, stride, drop 2, and more. From my experience, rhythm, "Groove", and the connection with the music in the moment it is being played are the most challenging aspects to learn and integrate. Thus, I give significant emphasis to these topics in my sessions, especially those aimed at playing polyrhythmic instruments such as the piano. I cover compositional tools, approaching Jazz Standards, accompaniment techniques, improvisation methods for any instrument, Blues tools, methods to strengthen the relationship with the instrument, analysis, and listening skills. I also teach classical piano for those interested, and offer specific training in rhythm and percussion. I am fully committed to my students. I recently started taking guitar lesson with Vasyl and I'm really happy with my experience so far. As someone with zero knowledge about playing guitar, I was a bit nervous to start, but Vasyl has been incredibly patient and encouraging. He's a great teacher who knows how to motivate his students to keep going, even when things get challenging. I feel like I've made a lot of progress in just a short amount of time and I'm excited to continue learning from him.
