I am passionate about teaching, and one of the greatest joys of my professional career is watching my students flourish. I have been playing the piano for 20 years now and have over 7 years in teaching the piano. My goal is to make the piano lessons fun and enjoyable while also incorporating all the necessary elements, such as theory, music history and sight-reading, to create a well rounded musical education. I am experienced with exam preparations (ABRSM) and music school admissions exams, but I prefer to create my own curriculum to fit each student’s specific needs and aspirations. I studied at the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire, UK (BA) and at the Liszt Academy of Music, HU (MA). I have performed extensively as a solo and chamber musician and I had the joy to collaborate with various orchestras. My greatest joy in music is collaborating and creating music together with other musicians, and this is why I am now pursuing the Specialized Piano Chamber Music Master’s at ZHdK. Trusted teacher: My name is Clara and I'm a classically-trained pianist and a piano teacher. I offer piano lessons in English or Spanish for Children and Adults (from 4-70 years old). My personal mission is to keep you motivated and committed to playing the piano. With this purpose, I use a method adapted to each student, taking into account what you want to achieve and what you like. In my classes, you will learn music comprehensively. My personalized lessons do not only focus on repertoire, but also on music theory, sight-reading, ear training, improvisation, and composition. You will be able to express yourself through playing several styles of music, creating performances full of artistry and musicality, and also to create their own music. You will also learn music history through extra group appreciation lessons and play four hand duets with other students or me. You will learn while having fun and will become a well-rounded and knowledgeable musician. You will: -Play and read songs from different styles quickly, working at the same time on piano technique, sight-reading, and musicality, and enhancing your talents. Do you want to play the songs that you like? Do you want to play for your family and friends? I took a few lessons with Lasha so far and I had a great experience. Lasha is diligent in preparing the material for the sessions and he adapts the lessons to my specific level and to what I prefer to practice which allows me to progress in the directions I'm most interested about. The first lesson with Clara was really great. She is so passionate about teaching and tailors everything in the lesson to your goals and music taste. Communication was great, especially after the lesson, where she sends feedback and exercises to keep you motivated through the week. I am really looking forward to continuing the lessons with her!
