Trusted teacher: 👂 My motto for teaching music: Learn with your ear, before understanding it with your brain. Music can be explained entirely from a theoretical point of view 🤯. But I'm convinced that the best approach is to feel and sing the music 🎤💖, before understanding and interpreting it theoretically. I teach music theory intuitively 💫. More than just a way of reading sheet music, I can show you how to deconstruct a piece of music in any genre, how to interpret chords, and how to improvise simply and effectively. ♯♭♮ About me: • playing the piano for >30 years 🎹 • studied classical music & jazz for 13 years in music schools 🧑🏻‍🏫 • played in a variety of bands, including classical music, jazz, blues, Latin music, rock, pop, cabaret, flamenco and electronic music • languages: 🇬🇧🇩🇪🇫🇷🇪🇸🇮🇹🇵🇹 -------------------------------------------------- -------------------------------------------------- ------------------ 👂 My motto for music lessons: Learn with your ear before you understand it with your head. Wenn du 15 Minutes mit dem Fahrrad von mir wohnst, come ich auch zu dir nach Hause, sonst unterrichte ich in the University of the arts or bei mir zu Hause. Lieben Gruß, Simone Dear Piano teacher searchers ! If I should describe my piano lessons I would say that they are very playful! The talking and theory is secondary, most important is to play and then see how to listen and adapt from there. My students have fun, they enjoy our lessons, otherwise they don't practice and make progress :) It is important that our lesson is making you more independent and secure to play and understand music on your own! I have teaching experiences since fourteen years, I studied music education, piano, harpsichord which I will use for your understanding. This year I will only focus on teaching people over 12 years old. If you live 15minutes by bike from me, there is the possibility to come to your home. Otherwise I will be teaching in Universität der Künste or at my home. I wish you all the best in finding the right teacher. Hope to hear you soon! Best wish, Simone

Native English piano lessons from an experienced tutor (Berlin)
Jack
I’m so lucky that I was able to have lessons with Jack during my time in Berlin! He creates such a supportive environment for learning — laid back and calm, yet totally professional. After years of me struggling independently with a few pieces, he was able to show me new ways of approaching the music that transformed even the hardest parts into something accessible. He has a lovely and genuine way of offering encouragement / recognizing progress, while still keeping track of the underlying objective; a more far-reaching arc of improvement. I like how he remembers this larger perspective from week to week (especially when I forget), and finds ways to expertly weave the end goal into incremental, manageable steps. I have learned so much from the tools and techniques he’s shared with me, and am grateful to have enjoyed his teaching.

Kristóf
I am very happy to have Kristóf as my flute teacher! Not only is he knowledgeable about flute technique, but he also takes the time to explain how the instrument works and the physics behind the sound production. His expertise in music theory is a significant bonus, enriching my understanding of music as a whole. What I appreciate most is his patience and attentiveness. He creates a supportive learning environment where I feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes. Every lesson leaves me feeling inspired and more confident in my playing. If you're looking for a teacher who is both skilled and genuinely cares about your progress, I highly recommend Kristóf!

Victoria
Working with Victoria is a pleasure! She's very skilled in both music and teaching. She is extremely patient and always makes sure that you finish the class with all your questions answered and goals achieved. She tailors the class towards your needs and always finds a way to explain sometimes complicated concepts. Warmest recommendation!
