Trusted teacher: Dear pupils, (parents) and students, I will help you to improve yourself and guide you to be more comfortable in your exam and your further math and physics rode. For pupils (6th grade - Graduation): - (final-) exam preparation (short-term help) We will, in the time available to you, find out the more essential content and skills you need to score higher, develop and improve them. (oral) exam simulation possible - Improvement of grade (long-term) In addition to your current problems, which arise in class, we try to fill gaps in the fundamentals so that your math and physics accomplishments become more effortless and you become more independent, so that less help is needed. Improvement becomes much, much easier and faster with occasional, increased lesson density: e.g. 2 x 45 min over 3 weeks during the holidays and otherwise quieter times. For students: The same applies to the students: However, my experience with most students sais 1 or 2 hours of tutoring per week results to be in in short-term learning mode, because the new content learned is so much more extensive. Either we can have more than 2 hours per week, or we can focus more on learning and working techniques so that you become more successful in your independent work. Content and classes where I can help you as a student: Maths: -Analysis (one-dimensional, multi-dimensional and complex) Sequences, series, limits, integral and differential calculus, ... - Linear Algebra Systems of equations, vectors, matrices, tensors, basis and transformations, - Differential equations Corresponds roughly to the first two/three semesters of mathematics education or all math content taught to natural scientists in the bachelor's program. Physics: All courses and content in the Bachelor of Physics and for natural scientists: Mechanics, electricity and electrodynamics, quantum mechanics, relativity theory, particle and atomic physics Theoretical and experimental. With yet one exception: Theoretical thermodynamics and statistics For further details and if you have any questions, please feel free to contact me. Best regards, Robert L.

Trusted teacher: Your child has difficulty with math, physics, chemistry or natural sciences. It cannot process the subject matter and you want to do something about it. As a teacher (engineer with a certificate of pedagogical competence), I have been teaching mathematics, physics, chemistry and natural sciences in secondary education for 25 years. I am an independent teacher in secondary occupation and recognized by the Flemish Community. Because of my experience and empathy I can make the abstract terminology and exercises that your child does not understand anything understandable. I tutor students from secondary education to higher education students. From Pythagoras to quadratic equations, logarithmic and exponential functions, limits, derivatives, integrals, ... Everything is possible! Students preparing for the examination board often experience problems in the subjects of mathematics, chemistry or physics. Through intensive guidance I can greatly increase the chances of success. I have a lot of experience with the online course of "Inzicht", Geogebra, interpreting subject sheets, ... The tutoring can take place both on weekdays and in the weekend. Students with dyscalculia are remedied by practicing the subject matter, using tips, mnemonics and a lot of patience. Experience shows that the way of mathematical thinking in dyscalculia is different and therefore requires a more structured, step-by-step approach. References are available. The tutoring sessions are given online every day via Zoom. Zoom has a handy online board where we can write at the same time. It is as if we are sitting next to each other and writing on the same sheet of paper. If you would like tutoring, please download the Zoom app and send me the email address you linked to it.

Trusted teacher: I see you got interested in me as in your potential tutor :) Here is some "short" description about me: I am a tutor of Math and Physics for High, Middle School and University students for more than 6 years in three languages. My students were successfully passing Finals, enrolling in Lyceums and Universities. In almost all the cases, my students were initially thinking that they don't like Mathematics and/or Physics, that "they are not that type of person that can succeed in that sphere". Solution of this problem is simple and obvious, just to try other approach of teaching. So my first lesson is aimed at finding the key for the student. And every time my main approach is to build friendly relations with a student, so both of us will have willing to attend the next lesson:) It is very hard to keep this balance between being a strict teacher asking homework and a friend that you can text in the messenger outside the class just to discuss a football match. So I will try my best to get one more friend and successful student! The program of my course is flexible and depending on the final purpose (Preparation for the exam, improving marks in the school) and time that we have. My lessons are usually a little bit longer than one hour or two, because I always make 5-10 minutes break, because student might get tired (especially in case of online lessons). After every lesson, I give the Homework to the student and at the beginning of every next lesson we are checking results, making corrections and I ask to explain the solution, if needed. My main goal is to make student understand the topic and with full knowledge pass exams

Robert
The experience with Robert was great and I highly recommend him. The experience with Apprentus, however, was the opposite. If you want to try a single class, they charge you a "membership fee" that costs about the same as the class itself... If you want to avoid the membership fee you have to buy packages of 5 or 10 classes... These fees appear only once you have already been in touch with your teacher and you probably don't want to cancel your meeting anymore. Such hidden fees that appear only at the very end of the booking are anything but customer friendly... So my message is mixed: go for Robert, but not for Apprentus...

Mathematics , Physics and Chemistry from secondary school to university (Oslo)
David
David strikes me as a serious and enthusiastic teacher, who encourages curiosity, gives thoughtful corrective feedback, and cares about the details of the subject as well as the "big picture" of who the student is, what they want to learn, and why. Excited to continue learning with him.

Senior Maths & Physics Tutor. NZCA Level 1 - 3, College, University, A-Levels, IB - DP (Tauranga)
Tom
Excellent teacher. Tom knew exactly what my son needed to close the gap between IGCSE and MYP and got into it right away. He has the ability to make concepts clear and enable the learner to gain knowledge. I highly recommend Tom.
