I am a Goldsmiths BA Fine art second year. I do paintings and scultings mainly and sculptural paintings. I love to understand and feel the materials and use the materialities' characteristics and histories to symbolise meanings in my work. My class would be suitable for potential young childrens or teenagers who are interested in art or want to get into art. As art is the language for me, I would love my students to enjoy and show their creativity in my class and I would help them to develop and create actual works in real life. There would be no pressure in this class I have experice of tutoring 10year old child and he was enjoying every class. He had ADHD and showed ADHD behaviours during class but as a neurodivergent person I gave him a breaks during classes and talked about his interests so I could figure out what he is interested in so I could prepare next class for him and at the same time the kid could had his little refreshment from doing art work. And I had 1:1 meetings with their parents because they wanted to know how it went and how he was behaving so I gave her a lot of feedbacks from my perspective (I did let her know it is from my perspective) . My dream is to be an artist/ art professor(university tutor) as I also had mental health issues so I am aware of how to deal with people who should I take more care of and also as a neurodivergent person I could deal with neurodivergent students:) My curriculum would be very personalised by students. Studio lighting, in tandem with filters and reflectors, enables us to explore ‘in-camera:’ framing a shot, perspective, subtleties and nuances of colour playing on the human form, plus the impact of angle and degree of light and shadow (chiaroscuro). Teaching for me is about personal connection and facilitating a safe environment with your students and interacting with them on their level rather than simply infusing knowledge. The idea of teaching someone something to copy from influence is one thing, however to teach the learner to be comfortable to explore themselves artistically and at the same time have self discipline takes patience and understanding the individual. Personally I think a learner should be taught from the ground upwards and to slowly neglect bad habits from the past, this relating to technical stumbling blocks or the inability to think outside of the box artistically. I believe students with more insight into their own ability can then become truly versatile and more importantly 'satisfied' with their work and practice. I teach a range of techniques in my art lessons such as palette knife, paint brush techniques and technical sketching methods. I also instruct with a diverse variety of mediums such as pastel, charcoal, pencil, acrylic and oil paint as well as mixed media. With my background in hyper-realism portraiture, the subject matter I specialise in is realist portraiture, also with considerable experience in landscape and still life tutoring. I do encourage my students to venture into abstraction and mixed media aswell, which I feel can loosen up students to learn to relax and have fun also while making artwork. Whether studying for GCSEs, A Levels, University or just your own enjoyment, I teach at a level best suited for the learner and the goals in which they pursue. I would obviously encourage students studying for grades to follow certain assessment checkpoints which would be revolved around contextual and method referencing, self reflection, experimentation and consolidation. This will vary for different learners at different stages and obviously with different interests. I do stress though at the heart of my teaching is technical skills and learning to explore personal artistic growth. These are skills which are easily transferable to whatever stage you’re at with your art practice.

Trusted teacher: Apart from being one of the oldest forms of self-expression, drawing and painting is scientifically proven to enhance brain function, raise serotonin levels, relax the nervous system and therefore improve our general well-being. Watercolor painting is particularly therapeutic as we explore the properties of watercolors through mark-making techniques which we can later apply in our more elaborate paintings. Even if you are a complete beginner with a 'can't do' attitude, I will guide you through the process of selecting a subject, doing an initial sketch, mixing colors, and applying some of the techniques we explored in the first stages of our class. At present, I only offer outdoor sketching and painting sessions around London parks and green spaces. It's also a very enjoyable way of appreciating nature while learning a new skill. I will help you set up your easel if you are using one and help you set up for a successful outdoor session. When working outdoors weather conditions are often not ideal, wind, rain, too hot, too cold..etc. I will help you work with the elements which might just produce some of your best work as you work faster and more freely. There is nothing like capturing the atmosphere of a place on location. By working en plein air you are also telling a visual story of the place. Ideal for visual storytellers, illustrators, bloggers, or anyone interested in gaining more confidence painting on location. I recommend a minimum of 2-hour session. Longer sessions can be arranged also. Sessions can be booked in advance.
