Trusted teacher: Pleasure to sing, to express the artist in oneself... Singing is not difficult, it is simply necessary to learn to know its voice. Vocal technique should help with this and not be a difficulty to overcome :-) All styles are welcome! I help you understand how to perform the vocal gesture according to your physiology and with respect for your instrument to learn how to develop and master your vocal abilities. The pleasure of singing and the acquisition of a correct technique, easy and adapted to your voice, take a prominent place in my lessons in order to learn how to use it without difficulty and to feel real vocal comfort. Beginners? The courses are oriented on the technique and aesthetics of the voice: ° Body preparation: breathing, breath management, yoga, physiological notions... ° Technical work: vocal placement, head resonances, agility, support, projection... ° Interpretation: musical agogy, stylistic differences, diction, meaning of the text, psychology of the characters, management of emotions... Confirmed: ° Preparing for auditions ° Role study ° Preparation for entrance exams to conservatories and high schools of music Trained at the Lyon Conservatory and then at the Geneva University of Music, I acquired during my career a healthy and balanced technique, a precise awareness of the functioning of the body and the vocal apparatus as well as a good experience of the stage and of interpretation. I have a double artistic label: A professional singer, I am on the one hand a lyric soprano and perform regularly in performances of operettas, operas and in recitals. I followed, on the other hand, the course in Current Music of the National School of Music of Villeurbanne. This training and my personal practice, in concert, of the different styles of rock, pop, chanson or soul music allow me to grasp this field very concretely. Holder of a Master's degree in Pedagogy (classical singing), I have been teaching for fifteen years during which I have trained more than 150 singers and am passionate about sharing and transmitting my know-how, listening to singers and their needs. Classes are open to everyone from the age of 16, regardless of level. Nice to meet you, Clear Training: - Master in Singing Pedagogy, Geneva University of Music (2015) - Curriculum in contemporary music, National School of Music of Villeurbanne (2007, 2008) Internships and Masterclasses: - Scenic aspects and interpretation, Alain Garichot (2010 to 2014) - Vocal technique and interpretation, Marcin Habela (2008 to 2014) - Diction and phonetics, Anthony Di Giantomasso (2008 to 2012) - Scenic Work and Improvisation, Gabriel Alvarez (2013) - Improvisation, Eric Trémolières (2010 to 2012) - Declamation, Thierry Petau (2009) - Theatre, Hervé Dauvin (2007, 2008) - Management of emotions and Mindfulness (2012 to 2014)

Trusted teacher: Free your voice, do you like jazz, variety, Opera, Musicals? I put my 20 years of know-how at your disposal. I started as a professional singer at the age of 17, I took my first lyric singing lesson at 19, since my beginnings, I have been lucky to be able to benefit from three types of teaching different, lyrical singing, the Richard Cross method for variety and jazz and finally the Musical. Today, I wish to share in a concrete way with you, through real moments of sharing, dynamic lessons, my experiences and the teachings that have been transmitted to me during my years of practice. Together, let's explore all the facets of your voice and open the field (song) of possibilities. I am Alexandra and I am waiting for you for an online course :) I propose an effective method in order to sing without being out of breath, without feeling bullied, I will help you find your "real" voice, by building solid foundations, learn to breathe, find support, position your voice well so that it becomes natural. Then, I introduce a technical base, to be able to successfully interpret your favorite songs, so that you gain confidence in yourself and in your instrument, I develop and I increase your technical capacities so that you can expand your voice, I lay the foundations of music theory, scales, arpeggios, vocal harmonies, vocal precision to broaden your knowledge and your musical vocabulary and so that you can gain skill in performing songs that you previously found difficult. The goal is to be able to give you the satisfaction of having your own musical style, of having complete confidence in your voice and of having perfect control over it in order to be completely autonomous in your practice. NB: Home lessons take place in St Maximin la Ste Baume, for Webcam lessons I use the Zoom software, it is essential to connect with a computer and a good quality headset.

Trusted teacher: Song, well-being and interpretation The voice is an instrument specific to everyone, which is why each course is tailor-made according to your tastes and abilities. Vocal technique Developing your vocal technique allows comfort and ease in the chosen repertoire. It requires some discipline and some proprioception. Thanks to a variety of exercises, I can help you understand the mechanisms related to the voice and better appropriate your body to achieve a more precise technique. Singing is a sport, and the development of muscles is important, just as much as the relaxation and flexibility of certain parts of the body. Taking vocal technique lessons is therefore a demanding activity both in terms of bodily activity and investment in progress and at home. Interpretation The understanding and the appropriation of the written text as well as the musical one is the key to the interpretation of a work. Together we can explore the multiple musical worlds by discovering the stories told but also those of the authors and composers. Through exercises, I can help you soak up the different emotions that you want to convey. Through various exercises of diction, declamation and theater, I will help you to transmit them. Reconnect to yourself Because singing is intimately linked to our emotions, I offer you exercises to reconnect to your physical and emotional body, in order to get to know you better but also to improve your self-confidence, your proprioception and acceptance as well as the transmission of emotions. Singing can be a real personal development tool, and personal development tools can help you sing better. Because the body is our instrument, well-being has its place in a technical singing lesson. Singing can be a healing tool for some people, but for others, minor traumas, whatever they are, can hamper the emission of the song. It is therefore important to come together to sing better: a healthy singer in a healthy body and mind. Singing confronts us with ourselves, our feelings, our emotions and our abilities. We can gently explore this complete tool that is our body for a better well-being in life and in song. Want to take a class? In order to better understand your expectations and to establish a course that suits you best, the first session lasts 2 hours. A face-to-face and webcam course. For any questions or to start lessons, do not hesitate to contact me. Who am I I am a young creative artist in live performance and mixed media, trained in lyrical singing during my bachelor at the Institute of Music and Pedagogy in Namur and my master at the Haute Ecole de Musique de Genève in Neuchâtel. I have a great choir experience thanks to the Choraline (youth choir of the opera of La Monnaie), the Maitrise of Paris, and the choir voces desuper as well as the animation of masses, in particular in the cathedral of Brussels and wedding masses. My experience as an actress and at the opera allowed me a great ease on stage and an inspiration as an author and director. I am also a modern art therapist trained by ifortpsy and meformer.

All classes will be catered towards the ability, experience and ages of the individuals. For all classes I start with a warm up, followed by strengthening skills, voice exercises and vocal development. Then we will work on a song of your choosing or a song of my choosing, if you'd prefer, of any style or genre. We can either work on songs for fun, building repertoire, examinations or performance practise. I aim to ensure that everyone comes out of my lessons feeling as though they have learned something new, improved on something and are feeling proud of themselves! I will happily teach any age, level and ability, and will personalise all lessons to suit each particular student in order to accommodate their style, interests, goals and aspirations. In terms of style, I will happily assist and coach you with any style(s) of your choosing- I specialise in Musical Theatre, Opera and Classical, but am trained to teach any genre (Rock, Pop, etc). For those who are wanting to audition for drama/performing arts schools, I can offer lessons specialising in suitable technique; as well as focusing on repertoire development, dealing with nerves, audition anxiety and stage fright, acting through song, audition cuts and general song coaching. For those who are professionals, semi-professionals and university singing students, I am happy to tailor lessons to focus on particular songs you are working on; assist you in strengthening and finding your mix, chest voice, head voice, etc, and/or focus on anything of your choosing! For those who are beginners, hello and welcome! I am more than happy to teach beginners of any age, whether you are just starting for fun, or starting with the intention of pursuing singing seriously. I look forward to getting to know all of you and your vocal types and am keen and excited to get started!

Hi all. I am a musicologist, music editor and opera specialist with 15+ years experience in casting, season planning, YAP design and artistic development in the field of opera, as well as university-level teaching experience and academic publications. I am currently residing in Taiwan under the Employment Gold Card programme, looking for local talent to develop either on an individual basis or with a local institution. Knowing Taiwan very well, I have always wondered why there are so few internationally renowned Taiwanese classical musicians. Let's try and change that situation ! Make me believe in your potential ! I am open to discuss artistic development programmes for upcoming Taiwanese opera singers, and to organise YAP, masterclasses and promotional events for Taiwanese institutions and universities. I can prepare detailed artistic development plans for individual artists and place recommendations with international organizations. I have a large network of international contacts which I can use to promote young Taiwanese artists abroad. I am open to take on editorial projects and international promotional activities for Taiwanese composers. I am open to work as a research advisor for postgraduate students in Musicology. I teach intermediate to advanced topics in my fields of expertise, including Opera Studies, Music Palaeography, Editorial Method, Source Studies and European Music History and Analysis. I am also open to suggestions for teaching or promotional activities according to the specific needs of individual artists, teachers, universities or institutions. Simply let me know what you need and we'll take it from there. ==> Be clear about your professional goals. Embarking on a PhD in performance is NOT the preferred road towards becoming a successful international artist. While I do teach music analysis, I do not dabble in "Music Theory" as taught at many US universities and colleges. Stuff such as Schenkerian analysis that was all the rage in the US some decades ago is an intellectual desert based on a nonsensical proposition of musical universality, with nothing to offer the young aspiring professional performer. Currently I teach and interact in English. I also have professional command of Italian, Japanese, French, Spanish and German. In the past I have taught advanced courses in English, Italian and Japanese. I am able to read Chinese, but I currently do not speak beyond the basics (A2). I may code switch between English and Italian, especially when discussing opera topics and while directing or auditioning singers. I expect students to know music notation and to be able to read vocal and orchestral scores. I will help you with the more advanced technical terminology. == My cv in brief == Qualifications: - PhD in Musicology with Opera Studies and Editorial Method (Leeds, UK, 2003) - Master of Music in Musicology with Opera Studies and Editorial Method (Leeds, UK, 1999) - Licence in Musicology (NOVA University, Lisbon, Portugal, 1996) Professional Experience: - 2008-present: Opera planning, casting and YAP design for opera houses worldwide; artistic development for singers - 2009-2016: Editor for CESEM, CIAO and Bärenreiter: Critical editions of "La testa di bronzo" and "Gabriella di Vergy" (Mercadante), and "Sigismondo" (Rossini). - 2008-2011: CIAO (University of Chicago) Post-doctoral researcher in the operas of Rossini under Philip Gossett; - 2004-2008: Artistic development advisor: Design and implementation of artistic development programmes for young artists in cooperation with casting departments at opera theatres worldwide; - 2004-2008: Independent Scholar (Tokyo University of the Arts) MEXT (文部科学省) scholarship for research in Japanese contemporary music and opera, with a focus on the operas of Miki Minoru (三木稔); - 2000-2002: Assistant Lecturer at the University of Leeds (UK), teaching "Issues in Opera" and "Music Palaeography Source Studies and Editorial Method". Taught advanced courses in Opera and Music Dramaturgy at Tokyo University of the Arts (2007) and University of Rome - La Sapienza (2010). Published academic papers and gave conference presentations on Puccini, Mercadante, opera dramaturgy and Japanese contemporary opera. Led the critical editions of the scores of operas by Rossini and Mercadante. Member of the International Musicological Society. Expert user of music notation software Finale.

Singing and Breath Work: Voice lessons for all levels (Braník)
Chaazi
I’ve had lessons with Chaazi for a few weeks now. Our lessons have been quite technical at my request. We’ve focussed on breath exercises and have practiced stretching my vocal range. The improvements and comfort in trying new songs has been remarkable. Chaazi is skilled, kind & a friendly presence. I’m delighted that our paths crossed.
