My name is Mariela, I am a classical singer, musicologist and singing teacher based in the Netherlands. ••• Are you passionate about singing but you don’t dare to do it in front of others? Do you have singers that inspire you and would you like to get closer to their music? Are you too shy to even try to sing? Did someone tell you that you have a good voice? Are you a member of a choir and want to develop your personal voice technique? Then you have come just to the right place! ••• I have more than 10 years of experience in signing and choir teaching. My method is based on a healthy way of producing sound, trying exercises that benefit the student and that are a totally personal experience. The genre? Your decision! Classical or pop, the choice of repertoire is a two-sided exercise, both you and I create a portfolio that will not only test your voice but will excite you and make your study fun and enjoyable. The classes are individual and last 45 minutes for teenagers and 1 hour for adults. Trusted teacher: 🎓 Graduated from the Royal Conservatory of Brussels. 🎷 My courses mix practical aspects and theoretical notions, according to the interests of the student, to whom I adapt to offer them a course which really provides them with the elements which will allow them to quickly flourish in the musical field. 👨‍🏫 With 8 years of experience teaching non-profit organizations and in particular, I am used to training students of all ages, beginners and advanced alike. 🕺I am open to a large number of musical styles, current or old, focusing my artistic approach on an "all-musical" (by mastering the codes of harmony and melody, it is possible to understand and apprehend any new style of music) 🎶 I currently specialize in mastering the Saxophone, in a classical and contemporary repertoire. But also, I am very open to improvisation, the practice of which I strongly encourage during classes, as well as live music such as jazz (swing, bossa, fusion, etc.). I had a great first lesson with Mariela. What I found most important: - Mariela ensures you're comfortable. Her kindness and calm confidence work wonders for a self-conscious and nervous person like me. - Explanations! Everything is clearly explained, so you always know why you're doing something and how to do it correctly. - I loved the flexible approach: if you know exactly what you want, she'll help you achieve it, but if you're completely lost, she's ready to guide you, offer different options, and give you advice. No pressure, but lots of support. - I feel like Mariela has many different teaching strategies for various personalities and goals, which is awesome. Plus, she has a lot of cool vocal tricks up her sleeve! - It's obvious that Mariela loves both music and teaching, which is so inspiring. Overall, I had a very fun and productive experience and will definitely continue studying with Mariela!

Estella is a very positive, always happy teacher. Even though my son has been having on-line lessons with her, we can always feel her positive attitude during the lessons. She is very patient, gives lots of important tips and feedback, which has been helping him to guide his learning, improving in every aspect of it. We can see how much she care about the whole learning experience. It’s been very useful to expend his time while at home doing the lessons. He has been practicing more and has been feeling more motivated since he started the lessons with her. We definitely recommend her as a Saxophone teacher!
