Each student will have their own customized study method to progress at their own pace, and I listen carefully to every request to nurture their natural attitude for learning. I pay special attention to the student's preferences in terms of repertoire and goals, even arranging some musical scores that may not have been initially intended for the harp. These lessons are suitable for both amateurs and professional musicians, whether they are young or adults. You don't need to know how to read music (music notation and solfège) or have played an instrument before to learn how to play the harp. My method is organized so that theory is learned through practice. You will quickly discover that the harp, contrary to what one might think, is a very easy instrument to play! I enjoyed my first lessons. It was both very practical since I learned a lot about the technical aspect of playing an instrument (hand positioning, body posture, etc.) and about the history of harp. The teacher also gave me advice regarding buying my own harp. She was very attentive and paid attention to my every movement, to make sure that I played it all correctly. I am looking forward to having more lessons

As someone with very little theoretical background, I find that Jean does his best to explain things in a simple and clear matter. He is patient and calm, will adapt the lessons to your level and needs, accompany the lessons with exercises and material that you can use to practice at home, .. Overall a very good experience so far.

Iban is very friendly, calm and patient - despite the fact I came to him as a complete beginner. By the end of the first session I'd learnt my first song and like it so much I booked in for more classes immediately. I'm really enjoying my classes and would highly recommend Iban to anyone looking for a sax teacher.
