I have around 15 pupils of all levels and ages and I teach at my own studio (De Constant Rebecquestraat 3) or at your place! If you are in The Hague area and you want to learn the cello or improve your playing, you are welcome to do lessons with me! FIRST LESSON: The first lesson consists of getting to know each other. This is essential to choose the best teaching approach. All the students are unique, that is why I always choose the method that adapts better to your needs. Then, we elaborate a personal plan, depending on your level, expectations, practice time, and taste. TECHNIQUE: Learning the proper technique of the instrument is very important to avoid injuries and to be able to express ourselves and perform our musical ideas in a successful way. That is why we learn nice songs in different styles, depending on your taste (from classical to jazz, film music, pop, etc.) and we combine it with cello method books with progressive exercises to improve the cello knowledge. In the case of young beginners, we also play cello games during the lesson to make the learning experience dynamic and fun! Children can lose attention and get bored very quickly! In 2018 he graduated with a master’s degree from the Conservatorium van Amsterdam receiving the highest mark ever to be given by the department. So far my son has had just one lesson with Stefan, but he has already demonstrated an excellent demeanor, especially important for working with a child who is just beginning! He is very patient and encouraging thus far. Overall, he is a very good instructor for our situation! Update: My son has taken lessons from Stefan for about a year now and we could not be happier with him as an instructor! He is truly a great teacher for a child who is just getting started and well worth the cost!

We have only just started with Kevin, but we find him very pleasant to work with, and our daughter was comfortable with him right away. He can teach in either English or Chinese, which is a benefit for our family. We can feel that he is a real musician, and wants to share the love of music, not just the technical mastery, with his students. This is something we really appreciate. Good feeling so far, and our daughter is looking forward to learning from Kevin!

Sebastian is not only a skilled/experienced guitarplayer. He is a skilled/experienced teacher as well. A teacher needs to ideally excell at both compentencies and he definitly does. Apart from that he has a calm and positive energy which will make you feel relaxed and open to his teachings. If you are a beginner or a more advanced player looking to further improve your skills I highly recommend Sebastian. You will not regret it!
