Trusted teacher: I Specialize in teaching young people to Rap. From beginner levels all the way through to having a successful music career. My name is Gavin and I'm a successful rapper, producer and bestselling author. Some may think that Rap is about ego but in reality, rap is about finding your true identity through your voice. The process of learning a skill that has been officially categorized by ‘John Hopkins University’ as the second most creative thing your brain can do other than fly a jet plane, builds humility and character. Rap saved my life and took me from hospital bed with shattered confidence to the big stage with Eminem, from dreams to the big screen. The main benefit of learning to rap is that it makes your mind work faster than most, you become an incredible problem solver and improviser. Your confidence grows day by day until you are able to do amazing things with words. The techniques, games and skills you will learn in this course will not just be beneficial for your social life, by helping you think quicker and feel more comfortable in situations, but they are applicable in many careers and scenarios. The skills you gain at Rap School can lead to huge, exciting careers. Not necessarily just a career in rap, I've helped young male and female rappers write their first books, write film scripts, release comic books and develop stand-up comedy careers. The ability to rap has made me a better writer and allowed me to have a successful career in music as well as careers in journalism, literature and film all from techniques and methods nurtured in my rhyme books and with a microphone rather than in a class room. With Rap I found my voice, my identity, it taught me that extremely hard skills were easy and just a matter of time but that I was capable of anything. Not everyone can rap and when you can rap as good as I am going to teach to rap, better than your heroes, then it will make you a special individual able to think fast, process more information and think 5 steps ahead. If you want to discover your voice, your true confidence and want to see what you are really capable of by doing something that is incredible fun then this is then this class is for you. With Rap school you will: 1. Learn to Freestyle 2. Learn Ride the beat 3. Learn rhyme structure 4. Learn how to compile rhymes 5. Learn how to Flow 6. Learn Multi-Syllabics 7. Learn how to write Punchlines 8. Learn the art of Battle Rap 9. Learn Internals rhymes schemes 10. Learn how to write songs 11. Learn how to rap live 12. Learn how to sing 13. Learn how to record 14. Learn how to Double Time (fast rap) Along the way you will find your voice, your style and true inner confidence and when you do it will be magical, and nothing will be able to stop you achieving at anything you want to do.

Trusted teacher: I offer piano lessons that focus on the joy of music, learning the right technique and a psychologically constructive experience. I prefer to create an individual program for the student according to his wishes and goals. Overall, I aim to create a positive and calm environment for my students while teaching this complex and beautiful instrument. I also offer lessons in music theory: preparation for music schools, general knowledge and understanding of music theory, or a deeper understanding of it - if the student wishes to go further. Music theory can consist of harmony, counterpoint, analysis of desired works, chords, intervals, ear training... For those interested, I also offer the electronic tool Logic Pro, as I have been composing electronic music using this program for the last 5 years of my training. We can combine this aspect with music composition or focus on technical elements. My goal is to create a considerate and respectful space where making music becomes a happy experience. I like to teach in German, English and Turkish. I hope to hear from you and meet you soon! ----------- I offer piano lessons; with the focus of enjoying the music, learning proper techniques, and having a psychologically uplifting experience. Trusted teacher: Hello! Alright, I'll break it down into parts. If you look for a more "narrowed description" just scroll down to where I made a list :) My name is Francisco, and I'm a guitar player from Argentina, currently living in Berlin. I am very enthusiastic about teaching and sharing the energy to grow musically with my students. I have taught music for 7 years in schools and privately at home. With private lessons, my aim is to adjust to the student's likes and abilities. I am attentive to the needs and the reasons why someone is wanting to play and learn music. And I try to encourage the curiosity and spirit of making music and not follow what is "considered" that you should learn. What to expect from the first lesson with me? To get to know each other. That way I see what you like and what you don't, what you already play, and your learning pace. Probably I can share with you something new already, and from there, we will build a "program" according to what you want your rhythm and time availability. I value singularity and I like to get to know who I teach, so that way I can help them better. It can be first chords and ways of learning new songs, improvisational tools, or pure harmony and theory stuff. Because everyone is different, for example, if you like Rock I will go in that direction and teach you the elements that make Rock sound like it does and I won't teach you Jazz Harmony, if you like Classical music we will go over the abilities that you have to have to execute this kind of music, the same goes for the styles that I play. My skills: I play and have played mainly Fingerstyle Guitar, Jazz, Argentine Tango, Jazz Manouche, Rock, Rockabilly, and Experimental. I have worked a lot playing Bossa Nova at some point. I don't like teaching something that I don't know. So for example, oriental music I couldn't teach. And if we come to a point where I am not helpful anymore, I will say so. What I do like is learning with students, it is often the case that your students teach you new ways of thinking about music and I find that super exciting! I was lucky to travel a bit of the world playing music with different projects and musicians that I admire, I always did this playing mainly Jazz music. I have played in bars and clubs and theaters in New York, Boston, Buenos Aires, and in different cities around Switzerland, Germany, France, Holland. I was also part of several orchestras (Jazz, Tango, and Rock) in Argentina and the US. I teach beginner - intermediate - advanced levels of different topics: - how to improve technique (right hand and left hand) - how to improvise (elements of improvisation, vocabulary, phrasing, etc.) - how to visualize the fretboard - how to learn songs by ear, and how to read music (or tab) - how harmony and music theory work - specific genres such as Jazz, Gypsy Jazz, Bossa Nova, Tango, Rock, and Fingerstyle. The lessons can be also in German (basic, so you might need a bit of patience with me!), Spanish (that's my mother tongue), or English. They can be at my place (Wedding), all corona safe, or online via Zoom/Skype. Shoot me a message if you are interested! All the best, Francisco

Trusted teacher: Hello! I am a musician offering tutorials in piano, trumpet, cornet, harmony, counterpoint, theory, and other general music-y things in English! I’m also available to direct rehearsals and concerts. As a composer I have a diverse range of skills. Whilst most of my work is contemporary classical concert music, I have a good grounding in tonal harmony and am experienced in writing music more typical of past eras and for events such as opening ceremonies and medals ceremonies. I also have knowledge of jazz, having worked in this genre. Lessons comprise of me examining the student's work, discussing it with them (how they've written it, what decisions they've made, what they wish the music to do and be), as well as discussing any suggestions I have to further enhance the effectiveness of the music and their ideas. Lessons can also involve examining works by other composers, giving the student inspiration and knowledge, as well as learning about different compositional techniques, which can include ways to deal with harmony, rhythm, texture, structure, and development of ideas. Please contact me to chat about your/ your child’s musical goals and ambitions and to arrange a lesson. I am able to travel to homes and offices and have a flexible schedule to meet your needs! I have also taught over Skype in the past, where there’s the option of screen sharing, making it possible to demonstrate things on screen. Thank you for reading and I hope to hear from you soon! Thomas

Trusted teacher: I am an Australian musician currently living in beautiful Brno! I have been teaching, recording and performing music professionally since 2013 and have a degree in jazz vocals from the Victorian College of the Arts in Australia. I have also undertaken intensive private study in jazz guitar and double bass. I specialise in teaching: - Guitar, ukulele & double bass skills for singers & songwriters - Singing skills for guitarists, bassists, pianists and other instrumentalists - Singing & vocal coaching (absolute beginner to advanced) - Guitar & ukulele tuition (absolute beginner to advanced) - Double bass tuition (absolute beginner to intermediate, French bow & jazz pizzicato technique) - Music theory, songwriting, lyric writing, composition & creativity (absolute beginner to advanced jazz theory) - Home recording & music production - Lyric writing and pronunciation in English (for non native speakers) I teach all contemporary genres, and many of my students are singer-songwriters who play guitar, ukulele or bass while singing. I am a friendly and patient teacher, and love teaching beginners as well as advanced students. I tailor my lessons to your own goals, skill level and interests, and prefer to teach a combination of your own favourite songs plus song suggestions from me that I think will help you improve certain areas. I love teaching songwriting, and enjoy when students bring their own songs to work on in lessons. If you have never written your own song but secretly dream of trying I am the teacher for you :-) I find it easiest to teach in English, but can also communicate in German (A2) and Czech (A1).

Trusted teacher: My lessons are for anyone who wants to delve into electronic music & sound design. As an experienced composer, producer and sound designer I specialize in applying my broad knowledge and experience in the field of music & technology. Most successful electronic musicians combine different skills, such as working with music production software and hardware, playing a keyboard, recording and mixing, but also music theory and composition techniques. Because as an electronic musician you often have to deal with different instruments & other sound sources, my lessons are also very suitable if you want to learn to design your own sounds, not only to make music, but also as sound effects for videos or games, for example. Just like in my own professional practice, I teach the different aspects of electronic music production: - sound design ('sound design'), both analogue and digital - synthesis - composition techniques - software for music production, so-called 'DAWs' such as Ableton Live - hardware, such as modular synthesizers and effect units - production: recording and mixing of audio - performance of electronic music It is also possible to learn more about (Western and non-Western) music theory and the history of (electronic) music. From my background as a sound designer for games & film, much of me can share knowledge and experience in this. In principle, my lessons are always adapted to the individual needs, knowledge and skills of the student. For the youngest, my approach is to introduce them to music and technology in a playful way. For this I use my own collection of musical instruments that I have collected over the years from all over the world, and which I link to technology.

Trusted teacher: Who is this workshop for? For anyone curious about sound, all music, music in general, who wants to manufacture, build, examine ... (from 12 or 13 years old). Do you need to know music theory? No. But familiarity with music of various styles can be of great help. DJ? "Electro" music? No ! We will not learn here to be a DJ or to compose “dance-music”, “electro” music in the commonly understood sense, not even songs. Do you need to know the computer? It is better if it is, but learning can be done at the same time as musical research. Is this course a software learning course? No. I give the basics (only on Logic Pro X or Garageband) to be able to compose but I do not teach the deep use of software. Is it necessary to have a computer? Yes ! A "workshop" rather than a class? The course takes the form of a practical workshop, listening sessions, criticism of works. By computer? Everything happens on a computer once sound elements of all kinds have been recorded. Editing, transformation, mixing on software designed for this. No software required. The proposed route can be adapted to any multitrack sequencing software. The computer is only a tool, it is the composer who makes the music. Practically what do we do? The composer works “from the sounds” that he has most often recorded himself. He chooses them, assembles them, deforms them, mixes them according to his project, at will. of his intuition, his ideas and desires, gradually builds a music. For those who wish and need it, exercises are offered which allow to approach at the same time techniques of realization and precise musical proposals. Composition / Invention It is not a question of declaring themselves all composers, but of affirming that we can all ask ourselves composers' questions, with both seriousness and imagination. To confront the game of a free invention. What musical orientation? What style ? This is a “musical research” process: seek to invent a music beyond traditional values - note pitches, regular pulsations, instrumental timbres - without forbidding all that. A “music of sounds”, in the broadest possible sense, a “music of all sounds “as opposed to what one could obviously call too simplified“ a music of notes ”. This choice, which apparently seems to shake up musical uses, is nevertheless part of a tradition of more than a century and rich in a repertoire that is too little known and which has had various names: - Electroacoustic music - Concrete music - Acousmatic music - Contemporary music Finally, we each have a precious tool to never forget: our ear, and a fascinating and rewarding job to lead, questioning about oneself.

Trusted teacher: Do you want to teach (electric) piano, keyboard or synthesizer? Then you have come to the right place! Gosse (1989) has been giving piano lessons for more than 10 years and we are proud to announce that almost all students who start the lessons actually continue. The lessons are primarily focused on fun and development. He knows from experience that the most important ingredients for learning to play the piano as effectively as possible are: 1: The pleasure of playing The fun is increased by learning to play numbers that the student experiences as beautiful or fun and that bring the right degree of challenge. Gosse mainly specializes in Pop, Soul, R&B, Hip-Hop, Jazz, Funk, Bossa-nova, Latin and Light classical styles. Learn to play your favorite songs! 2: Learning in the way that best suits the student There are three different ways in which someone can learn to play the piano: sheet music, by ear and (the relatively new way) through software programs such as Synthesia. The correct method differs from person to person. 3: Knowing the music theory / shortcuts The three ways you can learn to play the piano described above help you press the right keys at the right time. But it can be easier. Namely by knowing the underlying music theory and / or the shortcuts! Gosse also teaches music production (songwriting and producing). He is most specialized in the Logic Pro and Ableton studio programs. He also helps vocalists who want to accompany themselves on the piano. Feel free to contact us for a trial lesson, for a more detailed version of the above 3 points or if you want to know more!

Cameron
This is review is based after my very first lesson and I look foreword to doing the other lessons. Cameron was very professional; he knows his stuff and most importantly was able to understand what I was trying to achieve and suggests ways to accomplishing this. He has given me some home work which includes a listening list and feedback on developing some old pieces and a new project. I feel really motivated. I have a lot of experience in learning different disciplines to post grad level so I can say with some authority that clicking and connecting with a tutor is not a guarantee regardless of how knowledge they are..there are other qualities in addition to knowledge that is needed and as a a tutor, Cameron has what it takes. I dont really leave reviews so it is a testament that i have done so.

Emanuele
Emanuele is a wonderful teacher. He's very friendly and accessible, not the "intimidating expert" type at all. He's very open and flexible in meeting students at the level they are, with no judgement at all, but with genuine interest and care, instead. He's very knowledgeable but also keeps the lesson light and fun. He's supportive and actively tries to help you improve, exploring your individual strengths and weaknesses with you, instead of sticking to any pre-conceived ideas. His comments never feel like he's correcting you, they always feel supportive. You can feel he loves what he's doing, and love and joy for piano-playing is the feeling you leave with after a lesson. Highly recommended.

Geza
As a beginner, I enjoy my classes a lot with Geza. He gives you the feeling that if you keep learning from him you will improve very well. That’s partly because he is very knowledgeable, experienced and partly because have so much patience with hist students. You can communicate with him very well and he has his own system tailored by what you want in music and how much you improve. I think if that’s what you are looking for in an instructor, Geza is the right man.
