First, as a Math Teacher, my main aim is to encourage students to analyze the problem carefully and find different solutions for one question. This method helps students to choose the easiest way of solution for her/him during the exam and finish it in time. I teach students both ways how to solve questions without a calculator with math tricks, and how to use a calculator more effectively. As you know in the exam there might be non-calculator and calculator papers. Moreover, this ability helps students not only to understand the math subject deeply but also will be very helpful during their adult life. As a Math High-Level and Standard-Level (AA, AI) teacher in IBDP (International Baccalaureate Diploma Program) the part of my teaching also consisted of supervising students’ research projects. Previous research experience in the frame of UNDP (UN Development Program) by that time was very valuable. Being an IB Math Examiner helped me to see the clear picture of students' mistakes done during the solutions. So, I teach students how to show their solutions to get more marks on the exam. So far, I have had two sessions with Hamid and the experience has been pleasant. I find that Hamid was well prepared before the classes began. He made his own notes, schedule and was very organised with his approach as a tutor. Professional, clear about his teaching methods etc,. I ordered a lesson from Leila for my daughter. She needed help with Calculus. Leila is really professional in Math and pedagogy. She carefully researched needs of my daughter and prepared a worksheet based on her gaps and progress. This is really professional approach.
