Trusted teacher: By PROFESSOR & PROFESSIONAL COACH Hello, First and foremost, I would like to wish you a warm welcome back to school and a peaceful year ahead as you work towards your goals. I am aware that the economic situation can sometimes be challenging, which is why I offer my services to accompany your child throughout their academic journey with ease and serenity. Throughout my career as a Graduate Teacher and Graduate Professional Coach, I have worked in various contexts. Until last year, I taught in front of whole classes as well as in private lessons. Since this year, I have been providing face-to-face private lessons at home and also via video conferencing, a mode of teaching that I have practiced with university students for the past ten years. My teaching environment has undergone significant changes, especially with the emergence of the Covid pandemic. This shift has led our secondary school students to adapt to the new mode of learning and communication, namely video conferencing. Despite the success of this transition, it is important to acknowledge that our younger students still require attention and a psycho-emotional connection in order to develop their autonomy peacefully. Over the past two decades, I have implemented proven methodological approaches, some of which are borrowed from theater techniques, such as the Davis method (mind mappings/colors), and my specialty, professional coaching, which aims to enhance your child's motivation. My main goal is to foster agility in your child across all subjects, not only for the present but also for their future when I will no longer be by their side. Ultimately, my objective goes beyond simply focusing on gaining points in a subject. I firmly believe in this approach due to my experience as a Mental Coach working with young athletes between Nice and Cannes, as well as throughout Europe via video conferencing, as part of their preparation for the French Tennis Championships. It has reinforced my conviction that working on a subject should be a nurtured objective that encompasses personal growth and development. As a Professor in General Education, specializing mainly in scientific subjects, I suggest supporting your child in gaining agility in constructing their academic path during this unique period that is filled with both opportunities and challenges. Looking forward to meeting you soon, Corinne. Trusted teacher: Chapter 1: Relationships The central question of this introductory chapter – which contains no calculus – is “What is a function?” The objective is to help students separate this concept from other relationships between varying quantities, and especially to separate the idea of function from such ideas as formula and equation. The concept of function is the basic building block of mathematics. A deep understanding of function will facilitate your future study of mathematics and computer science. Throughout this course, we will be working with multiple representations of functions. The authors of our text present functions verbally, numerically, and visually as well as algebraically. Chapter 2: Models of Growth: Rates of Change In this chapter, we will investigate some basic reasons for studying calculus. In particular we will investigate problem situations which can be modeled using differential equations. Topics introduced in this chapter include difference quotients, derivatives, slope fields, initial value problems whose solutions are functions and families of functions. The primary example of this chapter is natural population growth, the simplest ODE (ordinary differential equation) to solve. This example provides an immediate reason for moving beyond polynomials to other families of functions (e.g., to exponential and logarithmic functions). We will conclude this chapter by using tools of calculus to analyze the spread of the AIDS virus. Chapter 3: Initial Value Problems This short chapter builds on Chapter 2, introducing Newton’s Law of Cooling (exponential decay) to solve a murder mystery, then studying falling objects without air resistance (polynomial solutions). Chapter 4: Differential Calculus and Its Uses This chapter is the heart of first-semester calculus, consolidating what has been learned about derivatives to take up problems involving optimization, concavity, Newton’s Method (as an exercise in local linearity), and the basic formulas for differentiation. The product rule is introduced to study the growth rate of energy consumption, the chain rule to study reflection and refraction, and implicit differentiation to calculate derivatives of logarithmic functions and general powers. The process of zooming in on a graph is related to differentials and Leibniz notation. The chapter concludes with an interesting application of calculus to a problem in air-traffic control. Chapter 5: Modeling with Differential Equations This chapter builds on the problems introduced in Chapter 3, introducing air resistance to problems of falling bodies (e.g., raindrops and skydivers). The authors introduce problems of periodic motion, which are modeled using trigonometric functions and their derivatives.

ORAL PREPARATION 🗣️ WRITTEN ✍ PATENT 🎓 BACCALAUREATE by PROFESSOR of Higher & Secondary and PROFESSIONAL COACH Orientation COMMUNICATION (Vence)
Corinne
Corinne is helping my daughter to prepare for her oral exam for the European Baccalaureate (French as a second language). She is very professional, well organized and very kind! She is also very flexible, as we had to postpone and reschedule a couple of times. But most importantly, my daughter says that she can see Corinne’s passion for language and text, so that makes the tutoring more fun. Corinne also takes notes during the lessons and sends them to my daughter afterwards: great! PS: my daughter received now a 10/10 for her final French oral exam!

Mathematics classes for IB MYP & DP Students - Let's make math a subject you are confident and excited about! (Rotterdam)
Anahit
Evie really enjoyed having a maths lesson with Anahit. Anahit was very communicative through the whole process and arranging. Anahit was able to identify why Evie was struggled and areas to focus on. Evie felt comfortable with Anahit which allowed Evie to be more receptive. It was a really simple process and I’m pleased that I arranged this for Evie. I also received information on what they had learned during the lesson. Thank you.
