Trusted teacher: I am a Belgian (Flemish) and French student who has recently completed a Master's degree in International Law at the University of Amsterdam. I completed my Bachelor's degree in International Relations at the University of Geneva (magna cum laude) and also spent six months on exchange at UCSB (University of California, Santa Barbara). Additionally, I attended an international high school in France for my secondary education, where I specialized in sciences and achieved a score of 18/20 on the final scientific baccalaureate. The classes at this school were taught in French, english, dutch, and spanish. Here is an overview of my previous tutoring experience: 2021/2022: I worked at "bijlesthuis," a Dutch tutoring institution, where I primarily taught french, dutch, and english to adult learners seeking to improve their language skills. During the same period, I also provided classes to other students through Apprentus. 2021: Through Apprentus and other websites, I assisted several younger students (ages 5-15) in Bern and Geneva, helping them improve their skills in subjects such as math and french. 2017/2020: I worked for three years at a tutoring institution in Geneva called ARA, where I primarily taught french, mathematics, and english. During this time, I also spent two years working at a private school called Florimont, where I supported students aged 11-16 across various subjects by assisting them with their homework. I can teach French, Dutch, and English, and I thoroughly enjoy teaching and assisting students in their progress and acquisition of new skills. As a person, I am flexible, calm, and positive. I am excited to meet you and look forward to working with you! Amélie

Trusted teacher: I am 22 years old from Indonesia, and I am currently studying theoretical physics for my Master's degree at Heidelberg University. I speak (almost) fluent English, but unfortunately not German at the moment (although I am learning :D). Therefore, I will only be able to tutor in English (it could be a great idea for students who want to practice English themselves). I will be understanding in the fact that the language is not the mother tongue of the student's, so don't be shy :) As someone who is passionate about physics, I can help students to discover the fun in learning physics, that it's definitely not about memorizing the formula. During the lesson, my first goal would be to help students understand the concepts of the topic they are studying. In my attempt to do so, I will try my best to explain the concepts in the most intuitive way possible so that students can easily grasp them. After having understood the concepts, I will guide them on how think about it mathematically, hence arriving at some formulas. Therefore, they will not view the mathematical formulas in physics as simply some maths equation, but rather as something that represents meaning. Then the next obvious steps after this would be to discuss exercise problems, which will further enhance their understanding. But of course the lessons need not follow exactly the above mentioned steps; it can be very flexible and we will find the best method to help the students thrive on the subject. As a student who studies theoretical physics in the Masters level, I have dealt with some quite advanced level of mathematics, and in the process have picked up several neat tricks. Therefore I am also able to help students who are struggling in mathematics.

Haralambie
Haralambie has provided incredible support throughout our sessions in a variety of challenging areas of mathematics. The breadth of Haralambie's expertise is evident in the many ways he can demonstrate the idea. I have benefitted from Haralambie's clarity in showing the relevance of specific theorems and how they connect with upcoming material. I have learned a lot from our sessions and he marries the conceptual gaps that come up by explaining the ideas and properties very well. Haralambie provides guidance, patience, and context to the topics covered in subjects that are otherwise disorienting. We work together to hammer out a conceptual stump. My learning experience with Haralambie is fun and engaging, and his input and guidance has been incredibly helpful in elucidating areas that I have missed which improves my approach to future problems.

Marko
Marko is an amazing teacher and I would definitely recommend him to anyone! He is very patient, organized, kind and smart. Every class he provides the material and it is very useful, because in this way I can repeat from it after the class. Our online lessons really helped me improve and I became so much better! He also used a digital board which is very convenient and helpful. I loved also how he challenged me in order to work on my skills and improve them. Keep up the great work Marko! :)

Sebastián
Sebastian's been a solid precalc tutor. He's patient and breaks down stuff in a way that makes sense, which is a big win for me because precalc used to be a total headache. He's always got my back, making sure I'm getting it, and he doesn't mind repeating stuff if I need it. Thanks to him, precalc's starting to feel less like a foreign language and more like something I can actually handle. If you're struggling with precalc like I was, Sebastian's your guy.
