Having achieved outstanding results at GCSE (12 grade 9s) and A-level (4A* 1A), I know what it takes to prepare for public exams and I want to help my students to get a headstart with their preparation. I teach maths, chemsitry and physics to students of all ability levels. My lessons are individually tailored but follow the general strucutre below: GCSE/IGCSE: Lessons are primarily content/revision focused. Homework follows closely the content of the lessons and I provide further reivision resources and notes after each lesson. A-level and University preparation: I assign problem sets for homework due 5pm the night before a lesson. My lessons in physics and chemistry focus on making the content intuitive, so students are understanding rather than memorising. Similarly, maths lessons are taught always from first principles to help students to understand the origins of the techniques we use. The beginning of each lesson is for review of questions from the problem set. These problem sets contain questions from the relevant exam board as well as extension questions to encourage students to think in more depth about the topics we cover. Homework is always marked in advance of the upcoming lesson. Every few weeks I ask my students to sit a test tailored to their examboard so that we can track the progress we are making. This class is intended to deliver academic results, whilst ensuring students enjoy my lessons.

Je suis une professionnelle en pédagogie : j'ai une formation en "transmission du savoir" et une formation pro en communication. J'ai fait aussi une formation sur le mental et le comportement humain. Ceci me permet d'être très à l'écoute, de comprendre les enfants - et les parents - , et de savoir quoi faire et quoi dire pour résoudre les difficultés. Après quelques heures, une amélioration se voit très rapidement chez l’enfant : - J'écoute et communique avec lui à son niveau ; je ne le dévalorise jamais et au contraire, je l'encourage. - Je fais toujours en sorte de commencer par des petits exercices simples, puis j'augmente la difficulté dès que possible, jusqu'à un résultat satisfaisant, et que l'enfant sente qu'IL PROGRESSE et qu'IL SOIT FIER DE LUI. Il se remet à AVOIR CONFIANCE EN LUI... et les notes remontent par la suite. J'adore les enfants, j'aime communiquer avec eux et les aider en partageant mes connaissances avec eux : ils ne demandent qu'à apprendre... tant que l'on reste à leur niveau de compréhension ! Cela ne se passe pas souvent très bien à l'école. La plupart feront des études jusqu'à 18 ans ou plus... il faut donc qu'ils ne se sentent pas en échec scolaire dès le Primaire. C'est si facile d'y remédier. J'utilise un vocabulaire et une méthode qu'ils vont comprendre, je leur donne confiance en eux. Pour les petits, nous travaillons souvent en jouant. APPRENDRE est une activité qui doit rester ludique, et ils apprennent beaucoup plus vite de cette façon.

Tom had given economie lessen to both my children that are on the middle bar school. My kids were lost, going very bad specially in economie and with limited understanding at school lessons. I decided to hire Tom, was difficult to find someone that give lessons to teenagers and that was knowledged. Tom has been with us the last months, my kids began understanding better, getting the point and scoring better at school. Sometimes I could overhear the online lessons or even 'live lessons' when he came home. Tom is great, with lots of patience, straight to the point, know how to explain, never lose the temper. We are very happy and will certainly recommend him. He is very professional and can motivate the students in a very good way. Thanks Tom!

Anusha is very nice and is able to teach at a good pace and makes sure that you understand all the materials you are working on. She is also able to adapt her teaching styles to your needs and has a lot of good tricks to help you learn how to do different things. Had my first lesson with Cuihong and really enjoyed it. She helped me with basic pronunciation (so good help for a complete beginner like me) and taught me some interesting tidbits.
