Steeped in a synthesis of age-old wisdom and contemporary insights, this course is more than just a series of lessons—it's a transformative experience. I've always believed in the power of the mind, and over the course of my teaching journey, I've fine-tuned this program, drawing from the teachings of renowned authors and adding practical applications. Each week is designed to challenge your thought processes and widen your intellectual horizons. We delve deep into principles elucidated in well-regarded manuals, picking apart their lessons, and understanding their relevance in today's fast-paced world. But we don’t stop there. Through rigorous workshops, interactive discussions, and real-world scenarios, students get to apply these principles, turning theory into actionable strategies. The beauty of this course is its adaptability. Whether you're a budding entrepreneur, a seasoned professional, or someone looking to enhance personal growth, the skills acquired here will prove invaluable. By the end of our sessions, you won’t just think differently—you’ll view the world through a more analytical, discerning lens. Some examples of recent classes: 1. Logical Fallacies & Cognitive Biases: Exploring common pitfalls in reasoning, from straw man arguments to confirmation bias. 2. Exploring multi-faceted problems with no clear answers: Techniques to navigate ambiguity and make informed decisions. 3. Media Literacy & Information Consumption: Understanding the age of information overload. 4. Real-world Application & Case Studies: Analyzing contemporary issues, from political debates to corporate decisions, through the lens of critical thought. Working in teams to present and defend solutions to complex problems. Sound interesting? See you in class, -Dante

I enjoy cooking, painting, traveling, reading, and yoga. I also like learning facts about Japanese. Learning about a language is an eternal process, so although Japanese is my mother tongue, there is always something new to learn. For example, sometimes I look up the history of a word or phrase, read about recent changes in Japanese grammar, or study dialects, which are very different from area to area! I have even attending teaching seminars and have taken classes for translation and interpretation to impove my teaching abilities. My lessons are extremely well planned and organized so there’s no time wasted and I enjoy forming a trusting relationship with my students. When students trust their teacher they feel free to ask questions and know that it’s okay to ask the same question repeatedly until they fully understand. Another important feature of my lessons is the quality of my follow-up reviews. My reviews are meticulous, complete with footnotes that offer supplementary information. Because of my detailed feedback students not only learn during my lesson, but after it as well. I’m so happy to know that some of my students print out my reviews and keep them in a folder for self-study! From the bottom of my heart, I want to thank all of my students I’ve met during my teaching career. They always make me laugh, feel warm inside, and motivate me to become a better teacher. Learning is a long journey so let’s have fun together and make it worth our time! I am looking forward to getting to know you!
