Joanne is an excellent and highly professional teacher. She took the time to carefully listen to what I wanted to learn and prepared the lessons accordingly. Her explanations of grammar were clear and detailed. As a native Japanese speaker, I especially appreciated how she highlighted both the similarities and differences between Korean and Japanese, which greatly deepened my understanding. Mijeong knows how to approach a complete beginner and not overwhelm them with too many unescessary information. Especially when learning a new language it might be too much at the beginning. However Mijeong knows how to start the topics slowly to get introduced into the language. She is open to suggestions and input from my side as well as flexible in rescheduling. She knows whats important in teaching korean and where to put emphasis to. Questions are always welcome and lessons can be adjusted according to needs and interests of her students.
