Trusted teacher: My name is Teis. I am a Danish guitarist trained in Jazz music at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam and USC Thornton School of Music (Los Angeles). I have played since age 7, studied since age 13, and played professionally since age 18. I work professionally as a band leader, composer, and side person. After around 25 years of experience on the guitar, I can confidently say that I am equipped to share the knowledge that I have accumulated over the years. In all honesty: I have never found myself to be particularly "talented". But I am a hard worker. I truly believe that talent is not something you are born with, but something you can develop and grow. Together we will explore secrets and tips for a healthy guitar routine. We will improve your technique and ear training abilities with direct and fun exercises. Whether you are just a beginner or an intermediate/advanced guitarist, we can explore the instrument and all its possibilities. Practicing and playing with a teacher in a one-on-one situation is the most effective way to get better faster, and I advise it to all the guitar and music lovers out there. In my guitar course, we start from where you are at and set a goal fitting to what you want to achieve. For example, our focus could be a.o.: Fingerpicking Soloing Accompanying yourself Songwriting Two ways to go about it; Single lesson: We go from where you are at the moment, and I help you move forward. 5 or 10 lesson bundle: I will make a detailed plan for you and we will conclude the lessons with a performance of some sort. I will help you elevate and broaden your skill set, in your preferred style, but also ear training and theory. We will build a sustainable practice routine together, and you will get access to a library of practice play-alongs and manuals, that you can use to build a solid platform as a musician! Looking forward to hearing from you :)

Trusted teacher: Hello! My name is Matei, I am 20 years old, I have been studying guitar for over a decade and I have 5 years of experience in the teaching domain. I am currently studying jazz at the Vienna Music Institute (Conservatory of Contemporary Music). I have studied classical guitar for 5 years, electric guitar for another 5 years, and jazz guitar for a year and a half. I can teach you music theory concepts ranging from fundamentals like chords, intervals, scales, and arpeggios to the more advanced: circle of fifths, modes, tensions, and triads. Regarding the technical aspect of guitar playing, I can create a good practice routine for the improvement of different styles of playing such as alternate picking, fingerpicking, legato, taping, hybrid picking, economy picking, etc. Although these concepts may sound frightening at first, I can help you understand them more easily. The lessons are thought to be suitable for beginners who never picked up a guitar before, intermediate players who know some songs and fundamentals but don't know what to do next, and advanced players who want to deepen their skills. I can also help you build a good foundation for improvising over any tune you like, help you master composition, and teach you music-making and recording programs such as Reaper, to be able to start your solo projects. I will provide my personal insights regarding what I think you should improve, but I can also just help you learn something specific like a song you want to play.

Trusted teacher: Professional musician, composer and producer. 10 international experience (Europe, South America, Asia) Piano lessons, computer music, rhythmic initiation (through beatbox and body percussion) to all types of public. Attractive teaching method mixing classic and modern. PIANO LESSON: My learning methods are modern while reinforcing the fundamental notions of rhythm, interpretation and theory which make the difference between amateurs and professionals. My specialty is jazz which also helps develop the creative part and the improvisation of the students. For the youngest we will work on the pleasure of playing music before arriving on classical music theory (essential) but which can quickly disgust a young child. Through new methods such as beatbox, body percussion, we can learn rhythm and independence while having fun. According to the needs of the students I will develop a tailor-made program for each profile because each person is different, that's why I don't believe in only one way to learn music. The easiest way is to come and try! MAO COURSE: Many people are interested in computer music, essential tools for BeatMaking, Production, etc... Unfortunately in France it is difficult to find serious training at reasonable prices. I myself had to go abroad to learn more about it. I specialize in the following programs: Akai MPC Live, FL Studio. Beginner who would like to launch into Beatmaking or confirmed who wants to improve the quality of these productions, I offer you all my secrets in composition and mastering. We begin?

Trusted teacher: Studied jazz musician gives saxophone lessons, focused on the joy of making music. You decide where to go. I'm on stage full-time. I am currently involved in a large number of projects with various musical styles. My references include an appearance on the Dutch television station L1mburg TV, as well as a concert on the public radio program NPO Jazz in the Netherlands, as well as appearances at various jazz festivals, including North Sea Jazz Rotterdam, JazzOut Limburg and the Göttingen Jazz Festival. Music has accompanied me since early childhood. I started playing the flute when I was five and the saxophone when I was nine. After gaining a lot of experience in big bands, funk/soul bands, rock bands and other projects, my interests culminated in studying jazz and saxophone at the Maastricht Conservatory, which I successfully completed in 2021. About the lesson: It's not just about jazz. You determine the style of music. Whether pop, funk or soul, I'm open to everything. Reflection is the be-all and end-all. I'll teach you music theory and everything to do with sax. The feel and the fun of making music is always the focus. You decide which direction we take. If desired, improvisation plays a major role. The course is suitable for all ages and levels. I take the time to adapt to you and to fulfill your wishes e.g. music style, direction etc.. The lessons take place in my own studio, at your home or online via webcam. No saxophone or previous knowledge necessary.

Trusted teacher: What is singing? If I were to summarize it in three simple words, I’d say it’s “a melodic exhale”. We take in a relaxed breath and then vocalize as we exhale, much like we do when speaking. We may vary the pitch, loudness, endurance, or timbre of our words, but we’re always making sound on the out-breath. That’s it. It’s not as complicated as people think. It’s not a case of “you either have it or you don’t”. If you can breathe, hear, and talk—you can sing! And guess what? Just like any other physical skill, the only thing that separates a beginner from a virtuoso are the number and quality of your “reps”, or repetitions. This is why people hire coaches: to train under the guidance of a professional and to get from Point A to Point B faster and more easily. So what’s Point B? Well, it depends on your level of experience. · If you’re only just getting started, it might mean learning to manage your breath and match pitch. It might mean developing an awareness of how your voice feels inside your body at different points in your vocal range. It might mean building confidence. · If you’re an experienced singer, but struggle with certain stylistic elements, it could mean learning to belt high notes consistently and safely. Or connecting more authentically with the emotion in a song and really making it your own. · If you’re a touring professional, it could involve acquiring strategies to care for your voice even under the demands of frequent back-to-back gigs. The needs of a singer change throughout the artistic journey and I would love to guide you through all these transitions! ***** BIO: My name is Luca. I’m a Croatian-Canadian singer, songwriter, and guitarist, currently writing and recording my debut album. For over a decade now, I’ve studied both classical and contemporary voice and honed my craft in the folk, jazz, pop, and world music genres. I’ve performed in a variety of languages and on stages in Canada and Europe. Over the past couple of years, I’ve also studied vocal pedagogy so that I can help others reconnect with their voice. I started my teaching practice as a coach in October 2023. Here are some reviews from my students showing the ways in which I've helped them: ***** LESSON BREAKDOWN: Singing lessons last an hour, which is roughly divided into the following: · Bodywork for tension release, e.g. physical stretches (10-15mins) · Vocal warmups, e.g. lip and tongue trills on various ascending and descending scales (20-30mins) · Repertoire chosen by you (20-30mins) This structure acts as a general guideline only, which may vary depending on individual needs. Usually beginner singers will need to spend more time on basic technique at first before being able to tackle repertoire for half an hour. Experienced singers will typically spend more time on repertoire, but might need guidance on vocal stamina when touring or mastering advanced techniques like mix, belt, and twang. Sometimes I might have to step outside of the lesson plan to explain an anatomical concept or address an issue such as performance anxiety. So there’s plenty of flexibility built into the sessions too. Repertoire you choose can be performed in a variety of languages, including English, Croatian / Serbian / Bosnian, French, Spanish, Italian, or German. I speak most of these languages either fluently or conversationally, and I have sung repertoire in all of them. So I’m comfortable working with them. In terms of musical accompaniment, my students often use backing tracks found on YouTube. If that is not available, I can arrange a simple accompaniment on guitar. Singers who are musicians may likewise choose to accompany themselves on their instrument. If a singer does not play an instrument but is interested in pursuing that, I can offer some guidance on beginner to intermediate guitar or basic piano. For those interested in artist development, I also coach beginner to advanced songwriting strategies, with a specialty in lyrics. Lastly, singing can feel a little vulnerable sometimes. Though I am not a therapist, I am a trauma-informed practitioner and can provide a safe space for you to express any emotions or thought patterns that might pop up during lessons. If something appears in session that I am not qualified to address, I'm happy to refer you to the appropriate medical or therapeutic practitioner. And that's it! Please let me know if you have any questions. I would be happy to answer them. Looking forward to working with you!

Trusted teacher: Hello! Music theory is a fun and awe-inspiring thing if you know how to look at it. I'm Katie, a professional multi-instrumentalist, singer, composer and educator with a big desire to support my students to ignite their own passion for music. As a teacher I have 12 years' experience creatively inspiring young people and adults in 1:1 lessons, leading choirs, directing music for youth theatre companies and in a charity providing music to vulnerable teenagers. I'm a trauma informed practitioner and work directly with the amazing potential of music to translate feelings into sound. Understanding music theory is a liberating tool for doing just this - and I seek to find what lights up my students and make the learning fascinating and fun, tailored to how they learn best. As a musician I've played for 23 years, I achieved my grade 5 theory and grade 5 cello exams aged 11, I've have had my original compositions played on Jazz FM and BBC 6 Music, achieved a 1st at Durham University studying music, grade 6 piano as a teenager and grade 8 distinction in flute, as well as becoming fluent on electric bass, ukulele and voice. I'd love to support you or your child in enhancing your understanding and confidence in music theory. I am available for supporting students through theory exams, with GCSE or A-Level music, to become a better improviser, to learn how to paint soundscapes using music and compose, and how to use music as meditation for enhanced wellbeing. It'd be a pleasure to chat to you and support you on your musical journey! Please feel free to reach out :). Looking forward to hearing from you.

Jazz/Pop/Classical Piano / Singing and Music lessons for all ages (Amsterdam)
Federica
I have had 5 very helpful lessons with a relaxed atmosphere so far. Federica has directly spotted my weaknesses and has helped me to make my practice time more effective and goal-oriented instead of simply playing what I had learned at some point. I have definitely become more aware of things that I can improve and learned how to make progress more quickly. So far, we have combined different exercises on technique with music theory and also worked on my repertoire a little bit.

Electric bass lessons - Pedagogy adapted to all levels (Schaarbeek)
Jean
As someone with very little theoretical background, I find that Jean does his best to explain things in a simple and clear matter. He is patient and calm, will adapt the lessons to your level and needs, accompany the lessons with exercises and material that you can use to practice at home, .. Overall a very good experience so far.
