Over the past years I lived in Los Angeles and London where I started to give individual and group Italian lessons for foreigners. I have been teaching for many years by now (since 2013). I teach all ages and all levels. I have been teaching children, students at school and university, professionals, artists and even foreign teachers-colleagues so far. During my course the student can learn and practice grammar, reading, writing, listening, speaking, conversation, written and oral comprehension, written and oral production, standard Italian diction/pronunciation. I am an expert in standard Italian diction-pronunciation, together we can work on your school/business presentations. I can also help you understand and try to speak several Italian dialects! I also teach native Italian speakers how to reduce their regional accent. Learning a new foreign language is a complex dynamic process, so I teach following a structural traditional approach, which provides the foundation/basic rules of the language, while I tailor the lesson based on the student's needs. I assign homework and I use all the best tools - technology in order to provide the best learning experience possible. In the recent years I have been teaching mostly online, I’ve been working with the most popular websites out there on the internet for a very long time. On a tight timeline, Mihaela was able to make time to meet with me in person for an hour lesson to introduce me to Italian. For the introductory lesson, I felt it covered a good amount of ground (and she even provided a document of everything we covered and more via email)! She explained hard and soft pronunciation between G + C and pronunciation of vowels. She prepared exercises to help me introduce myself to others. Mihaela even explained some of the historical background of the location we met at, Sforzesco Castle. After our lesson, she also gave me recommendations of places to visit in Milan. In short, Mihaela was thorough, patient, courteous, and communicative! I would recommend her in a heartbeat.

I’m very grateful to have Andrea as my Italian language tutor. I am traveling to Italy soon, and his lessons have given me the confidence I need to converse in Italian when I’m there. He pays close attention to pronunciation and grammar, politely correcting you when you make mistakes and clearly teaching you the grammar rules needed to avoid making them again. The typed notes he makes during the lesson (which he sends you afterward) are clear, very helpful summaries of what we covered. I don’t think I could ask for a better tutor!

I had my first Italian lesson with Davide on 24/9/21. My first impression was very good because he does a very good assessment before he starts of your level and of your goals and based on that he adopts his learning approach perfectly yo your needs. I give Davide a 5 rating after one lesson and would be very surprised if my view of him will change. On top of his ability as a teacher, he is a very nice and modest person. He knows how to drive a conversation and seems have a lot of patience! Looking forward to the next lesson!
