Together, we'll work on oral and written production and comprehension, focusing on fluency, lexis and vocabulary, grammar, and pronunciation. I'll give you access to a range of free resources and authentical materials like videos, audios, newspapers, and books, for sure. Options: - ITALIAN for BUSINESS for those who need basic knowledge and competences to interact and communicate in Italian. - LANGUAGE CERTIFICATION & UNIVERSITY EXAMS: get prepared for CILS, CELI, or PLIDA EXAMS: we will concentrate on exam techniques and strategy. The aim is to maximize performance by familiarizing participants with the format of the exam and developing essential exam skills via strategy training and exam practice time simulation activities with a focus on reading, writing, including presentation of arguments and feedback on common error. And if you need to prepare an oral exam or to prepare and present your own project, we'll organize personal tutoring and training. - My method: I follow a communicative and non-frontal approach in which the student always has a leading role and is stimulated to experiment with the structures and the vocabulary learned. For me, learning a language requires patience, willingness and joy. I also believe that learning something new in French every day is better than learning too much in a single day. I also think that you must use every new word you learn, by interacting and speaking as much as you can. For this reason, each of my lessons always includes all 5 skills according to the CEFR: - Spoken Production: e.g. I encourage learners to introduce themselves and speak about their main interests without being interrupted. - Listening: e.g. I integrate songs, interviews, lectures according to the learner's goals. - Reading: e.g. articles, film reviews, parts of books and news. - Writing: e.g. formal and informal letters and e-mails, personal accounts, journals. -Spoken Interaction: I always spend time in conversation with the student, at the beginning and the end of the lesson, in order to improve her/his fluency and confidence. I also encourage (but not force!^^) students to do exercises on their own too, so that they are more prepared for the following lesson. I am patient and comprehensive, and I organize my lessons according to the learners' interests and personal goals. From A2- B1 level onwards, I try to speak only in French.

I was born in the south of Italy and I live in the beautiful Rome. I graduated from University "La Sapienza" of Rome in 2008. Over the past years I lived in Los Angeles and London where I started to give individual and group Italian lessons for foreigners. I have been teaching for many years by now (since 2013). I teach all ages and all levels. I have been teaching children, students at school and university, professionals, artists and even foreign teachers-colleagues so far. During my course the student can learn and practice grammar, reading, writing, listening, speaking, conversation, written and oral comprehension, written and oral production, standard Italian diction/pronunciation. I am an expert in standard Italian diction-pronunciation, together we can work on your school/business presentations. I can also help you understand and try to speak several Italian dialects! Natalia has been a wonderful tutor over the past year : she has been a great help in gaining confidence in conversation as well as grammar work, which underpins it all. It is often easier, when learning, to 'hide behind the grammar' however the drawing out and use of it in conversation has been done gently and with great understanding, assistance and humour. Not forgetting patience. And I never feel I'm being chided when I hear the words "..in italian now" - sometimes you just need a push. As a tutor, Natalia is very flexible (a great help when you work), supportive and always full of encouragement. I look forward to continuing my lessons !

I’m very grateful to have Andrea as my Italian language tutor. I am traveling to Italy soon, and his lessons have given me the confidence I need to converse in Italian when I’m there. He pays close attention to pronunciation and grammar, politely correcting you when you make mistakes and clearly teaching you the grammar rules needed to avoid making them again. The typed notes he makes during the lesson (which he sends you afterward) are clear, very helpful summaries of what we covered. I don’t think I could ask for a better tutor!

Naomi is an outstanding language teacher, highly skilled in teaching which comes from her advanced degree in language studies. She develops a plan based on the needs of the student - in my case, as a beginner she worked out a model that helped me grasp the basics of the structure of the language as well as cultivate the fundamentals of common everyday speech, I would recommend her for anyone wanting to develop their skills in Italian and or Spanish from a beginner to a more advanced stage.
