As a native English speaker and near native Italian speaker, I can help you from the basics, to helping you correct university level papers, and to just sitting down and having a chat with you! I have had past experience with tutoring and am flexible towards what my students want. If you're looking for someone to give you weekly homework, and to teach you grammar and vocabulary then I can do just that (with an entertaining, laidback feel to it). I don't want learning a language to feel like a chore, or a burden, therefore I put a lot of effort in making my classes interesting, new, and fun to ensure you take the most out of it. If you would like to know more about who I am, or need any help in English and Italian I am ready to help! My goal is to guide and help the students grasp a high level of understanding in the basics of English language skills, ESL, and Italian. Moreover, I aim, with the students, to achieve a more advanced level for the students in speaking, reading, and understanding. I can assure flexibility in my lessons. If students find they already know something quite well, I will not dwell on such topics too long and will move on to other topics that are new to them, or of interest. My goal is to provide a focused session in which the student is really the center of attention, where all their needs are met.

Trusted teacher: My name is Cristina and I speak Italian as a native language. I was born and raised in Italy, where I graduated and worked as an Italian teacher for children and teenagers from 6 to 15 years old, both Italian and foreign. Four years ago I moved to the Netherlands. Here I started teaching Italian to anyone who wanted to learn my beautiful language, both in person and via webcam. I currently have students of all ages and with the most diverse objectives: those who want to go on holiday in peace, people who have recently moved and want to integrate, young people who study or want to work for Italian companies and bilingual children who want to improve their pronunciation. I like to prepare my lessons with great care. During the trial lesson, I encourage my students to speak as much as possible to understand their level of knowledge of the language and what their goals and interests are. At this point I can organize a personal program. I mainly focus on the conversation, regardless of the starting level of the student. Starting from a short dialogue, an article or a video, I draw inspiration to deepen vocabulary, grammar and pronunciation. I use different types of material: texts, newspaper and magazine articles, original or simplified, games and interactive exercises, everything that can make the lesson exciting, fun and productive! And for those who want it, there is no shortage of homework, which you can do online or in textbooks, depending on your taste. Since moving, I have also started studying Dutch and this has helped me enormously in understanding the difficulties that students, especially adults, can encounter when learning a foreign language. I was able to compare different methods and experiment on myself with different theories and techniques. In addition to professionalism, I believe in passion for what I do, which is reflected in every moment of my lessons.
