Trusted teacher: Hi! I'm Tanya. I was born in Italy, but for the last two years of my life I have traveled the world, mainly in Central and South America and the Middle East, traveling and working remotely. I am a professional teacher with 6 years of experience. I worked on the translation of medical and legal articles, panels in the glass museum in Venice and worked as an interpreter at the court of Venice. I have a degree in languages, I am certified in international law and I am a language coach. Language coach means that I not only teach you a language, but also how to learn new languages! I will closely monitor your entire learning journey, to get the most out of your skills! That's because I love learning new languages! That's why after years of studying I became a polyglot (8 languages - Italian, English, Spanish, French, Japanese, Arabic, Hebrew, Dutch) and I came up with a method to teach you the language you want to learn! Over the years I have learned to model my work according to the personal needs of each student and have developed a method that allows my students to learn the language in a fast and fun way. My hobby is my greatest passion is learning other languages, therefore from my experience I can understand many of the problems associated with learning a foreign language. My lessons are based on a specific method that I have designed to facilitate and accelerate learning. My classes are available in Italian, English, Spanish, French, Hebrew, Dutch and Arabic. GROUP LESSONS possible! See you soon! :-)

Trusted teacher: Do you need to learn how to speak in Italian really quickly? Do you already speak at a basic level and you want to improve? This course is for you! Every lesson, a new thematic: you will learn how to deal in the most common situation with immersive focus on everyday life & job situation. Relax and just speak! -As a qualified and experienced teacher, I ensure you make real progress, helping you successfully achieve your goals and communicate with confidence in Italian. I prefer not to use vehicular languages but don't worry, I have plurilingual and pluricultural competences so, if you need, we can speak English, French, Arabic (MSA and Tunisian) or Spanish! Together, we'll work on interaction, dialogue, oral production and comprehension, focusing on fluency, lexis and vocabulary, grammar, and pronunciation. I'll give you access to a range of free resources and authentical materials like videos, audios, newspapers, and books, for sure. - My method: I follow a communicative and non-frontal approach in which the student always has a leading role and is stimulated to experiment with the structures and the vocabulary learned. In general, during a lesson, I give equal space to the reinforcement of each competence (comprehension and oral production, comprehension and written production, grammatical insights), but at the request of the student, it is possible to focus on particular objectives. I offer students a wide range of Italian language books for foreigners and the choice of texts or materials to follow will be done together. Multimedia materials such as audio and video and interactive activities.

Trusted teacher: Ciao! I have been teaching Italian for the past twelve years. I have taught privately and at language schools like La Scuola Italiana del Greenwich Village in New York and ItalCultura, the school of the Italian Cultural Institute of Chicago. During the first few lessons I will make sure you have the tools to pronounce and identify all the sounds of the Italian language. This step is essential! And it will make everything easier afterwards. When I teach Italian I try to avoid all the things that I hated as a language student. We will use real songs, real literature, do real conversation and storytelling. When you are engaging all your senses it is easier to keep your mind relaxed and to remember new words. I will customize my materials to your interests, needs and desired pace. And because you are learning from a native Italian you will also learn about Italian culture and history. You will absorb a way of thinking, not just grammar rules. I speak a bunch of languages so I know a thing or two about how tedious language classes can be. My terrifying French teacher in middle school made us repeat the same fake dialogue from a really bad book ad nauseam, over and over and over again. Some of those dialogues are carved in my brain: “Bonjour, je m’appelle Richard Drapeau, je viens du Canada, je suis Canadien...” When I teach Italian I try to avoid all the things that I hated as a language student. We will use real songs, real literature, do real conversation and storytelling and we will go on “talking walks” because when you are engaging all your senses it is easier to keep your mind relaxed and to remember new words. I hold a degree in Lingue e Letterature Straniere (Foreign Languages and Literatures) from Università Roma Tre (equivalent to an American MA) and a Master’s of Fine Arts in Interdisciplinary Arts and Media from Columbia College Chicago. I wrote a thesis about translating a long epic poem by W. H. Auden and I tried to ride a horse across America.

Italian, Spanish and English with a polyglot (8 languages) and Professional teacher, language coach (Amsterdam)
Tanya
I've had different Spanish teachers but Tanya is by far the best for several reasons: - Tanya makes a personal plan together with me which fits perfectly with my learning goals. So no unnecessary grammar but only things whichs helps me with my reason why I approached her - She developed her own personal learning style which helps me making huge steps in a short time - Tanya shows she's well prepared and the work we do and the homework I get is always in extend of the things I want to learn - Besides that she's always happy and a nice person to chat with Quick sumarry: if you want to learn Spanish in a good/fast way with a teacher who is always happy, I would highly recommend Tanya :)

Italian for business and university - prepare CILS CELI PLIDA exams - conversation in italian (Milan)
Natalia
Natalia has been a wonderful tutor over the past year : she has been a great help in gaining confidence in conversation as well as grammar work, which underpins it all. It is often easier, when learning, to 'hide behind the grammar' however the drawing out and use of it in conversation has been done gently and with great understanding, assistance and humour. Not forgetting patience. And I never feel I'm being chided when I hear the words "..in italian now" - sometimes you just need a push. As a tutor, Natalia is very flexible (a great help when you work), supportive and always full of encouragement. I look forward to continuing my lessons !

Valentina
Valentina has been my Italian teacher since February. Since then, I have made great progress in learning Italian! She uses a very good method/book which also allows you to work online. But the best thing is the personal interaction with her, which really makes the difference: the explanation of grammatical stuff, the correct pronouncation and which words to use when and also some background information about Italy and the Italian people. A very pleasant and effective teacher! Alexander
